Set aside for a few years, I decided to exercise this 4" A.Wright Lamb today!! Off to be stropped!!View attachment 3171174
I can't remember what wood makes up the handles;🤔 nice straight grain though!!!😎
Stropped and oiled - ready for duty!!!View attachment 3171180
The Big Uns always make me think of Ron Half/Stop Half/Stop and Duane sitflyer sitflyer :) That extra inch makes for quite a different knife I think
It’s never my first choice, but I don’t mind a gin & tonic now and then.
It seems to be a drink aficionados really enjoy, but it's always been a bit lost on me. There was a Yorkshire gin resurgence a few years ago, but having been given a few samples, I realised the taste varied widely, some tasted more like vodka to me, as indeed does the gin of Panama, which combined with milk, is their national drink 🤢
It’s obviously a very divisive vegetable. 🤣
How many other vegetables get served with custard?! :D
Good looking knife, Charlie. Most likely rosewood, I’d say. I know Jack had some runs done in both African and Indonesian Rosewood, but I can’t remember if there were any big ‘uns, or if they were just regular ‘uns, or which were African or Indonesian or Canadian or what. 😵‍💫🤣
I'd hope to do a Big Un as an SFO before Ron passed, but it never happened I'm afraid. I did pick up quite a few at the factory though
One of my favourite Lambs :) Nice to see it buddy :)
What a relief!!! Thanks, and have a good rest, Jack!!!! 😁
Thanks pal! 😂👍
Yesterday's lunch of homemade sourdough with ham and potato soup (in a real bowl, not "fine china" like the bread). Figured I should show that I did in fact carry this fine lamb lol!

What a feast! 😋 And a great pic my friend :)

A rainy shift that started a little chaotic but has simmered down some. Glennstag Charlie lamb in the pocket.

We are in a drought warning now. Could not be a worse time for these wildfires.

It seems early in the year for a drought mate :( I sure hope you get some rain soon, these wildfires are terrible things :( Nice Lamb

Good morning Guardians, enjoying the good-natured banter! :D I hope everyone is OK, and that your week is off to a good start :) The feller with the JCB has been sat in the cab, reading the paper, for the past hour and a half, and I can't see any other sign of work going on  With the adjacent street, the road gang did nothing for 3 months, but the day before the gaffers turned up, they got the whole job done, tarmacked about a quarter mile of road :D I suspect it might be the same here, though it's a bigger job, the road is down to the cobbles in multiple places  It won't worry me, so long as they get the job done  I have some work to do myself today, but I'm also hoping to get out at some point, as I need to get some things from town. Carrying one of Charlie's originals, a generous gift from the great man :) Have a good day Guardians
