Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Theme song
I can't work the link for some reason, but

The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

First time I've seen that Jer! 😂
There was more patience with words in those days. I'd forgotten all the narrative.
Congratulations again buddy, it's a beauty

I can tell it's going to be a jolly day: I see "Hope Valley", and I think of a sinkhole that draws hope down to dusky death.
Nah. What could possibly go wrong?
Seems this is a freakish weather pattern we are in.
This link seems to work. Different hosts, I guess.
Lots of fierce winds here again, and the highs this week are down to the fifties from last week's seventies.

I scythed the dandelions all right yesterday. It's nice and relaxing when I remember not to swing hard or fast or reach too far. Just stay in the center and roll.
I binned the rest of my wild cherry top, chainsawing it short and splitting it fine with my little Craftsman boys' axe. While I had the chainsaw out, I faced up to taking down the trunk, the top six feet of which came close to causing some unwelcome excitement. And while I was taking down trunks, I got the last three or four feet of that dead apple tree I fizzled out on a year or two ago. If this is the day I skip my calisthenics and dumbbells, I will easily forgive myself.

Today is cold and damp and mid-week, so I'm hoping for a light mulch day at work.

Cool picture Mitch

We are in a drought warning now. Could not be a worse time for these wildfires.

I hope you guys get some rain soon. Nice pic of May 🐑

Good morning Guardians, enjoying the good-natured banter! :D I hope everyone is OK, and that your week is off to a good start :) The feller with the JCB has been sat in the cab, reading the paper, for the past hour and a half, and I can't see any other sign of work going on  With the adjacent street, the road gang did nothing for 3 months, but the day before the gaffers turned up, they got the whole job done, tarmacked about a quarter mile of road :D I suspect it might be the same here, though it's a bigger job, the road is down to the cobbles in multiple places  It won't worry me, so long as they get the job done  I have some work to do myself today, but I'm also hoping to get out at some point, as I need to get some things from town. Carrying one of Charlie's originals, a generous gift from the great man :) Have a good day Guardians

I hope you get a break from the mulch 👍

Truly a different world Jack. Fortunately, the winds have kept most of the smoke away.

Enjoy your day good friend with that wonderful lamb.
It must be Bob, I'm glad the winds are being co-operative at least
Evening all
Basil?
Mmmm...nice pic Mitch :) I've just made a sammich - Cheese, pastrami, and tomato on ciabatta, but if I'd had some bail, I might have had bruschetta 😋 👍

That cafe is probably the only part of the Hope Valley that might apply to (despite the fact it makes an outstanding chip butty) It was originally the railway station, but for many years was run by a bloke called Phil, who may well have been the most miserable man in the whole county! :D The cafe walls were littered with scribbled notes, rudely laying out various 'rules' and demands. After he passed his kids took over, and kept the legendary notes, and a sign outside, in place as a humorous tribute, but since many people failed to get the humour, Phil's scribbled rants have not been replaced, after time has caused them to drop to the floor

It's amazing how many wonderful Sheffield-made Lambfoot knives have turned up on BF, since Jack started this thread almost ten(10) years ago!!!!
Especially since Lambfoot knives were much rarer than other knives represented here on BF!! The Revolution of the Lambs!!!!! 😁

Nice pic  I usually grow basil on my windowsill. My house is south-facing, so it grows well there :)
