Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, and Happy May Day to you all :) When I was a boy, this used to be quite a significant day here, with Maypole dancing, and the like. I don't think much happens now, and what little does gets pushed to the official Bank Holiday, which is now called 'Early May Bank Holiday', (had to look that one up), on Monday. I'm sure there will be a certain amount of boozing going on, as happens every Bank Holiday Weekend here, and it's due to rain heavily on Sunday and Monday, which is also traditional  When I mentioned it to Tool Man, he thought May Day was some sort of Soviet event! 😖 I told him I might parade my weaponry up and down the street! :D Just have to find my Spetsnaz shovel! 🤣 I may just have a walk down to the cafe though, and perhaps get some lunch in town ;) :D Have a good May Day Guardians

Fantastic looking knife, nice micarta. 👍

Did someone mention food? Buttered bagels for breakfast today. 🤤

I like that K’roo lamb there Bob. I definitely would like to get one of those. I like the micarta too.

So you’re telling me Bob they don’t have bagels at the Waffle House? Seems they have an opportunity to up their food game.

Jack another fine Market Report yesterday and it sounded like a good time.

Very nice ebony lamb Jack.
Thank you Bob :)
Marching with your crossbow would make quite the impression today .
Not as much of an impression as the barbs of the Police taser!
This kroo arrived yesterday with some interesting twists. There is an unobtrusive nail nick and a hollow grind on the blade. Wickedly sharp.
It reminded me of Barrett's GL-24.View attachment 3173852
Congratulations Bob  Interesting comparison photo :)

👍
It makes me sad to see more disconnect from nature and agriculture, but maybe it's appropriate that pagan and book holy days are now bank holy days.

I vaguely associate May Day with labor, rightly or wrongly. It's May Day that makes me reach for my Solidarity button.

Me too Jer, though that only goes back to the late 19th century I think. I have my Solidarity T-shirt on :D
Mind you, my mom grew up in a small farming village, and she was pretty happy to lose most of that country life.

A hard life in lots of ways I guess. Most of my older Indian and Pakistani neighbours prefer concrete to grass.
Black beauty ! 👍
Thanks Steve :)
Still toting this one for the morning garden check.

Thanks Pat 🙂 Those bagels look tasty, with that classy Lamb 😎👍
Thanks Pat.
Still looking for good bagels down here. We actually have them shipped from New Jersey.
That's pretty cool Bob 👍

Thanks Kurt, I like your bagel suggestions! 😁 It's nice to see your GL-24 ☺️👍

I love that idea. My dad did that once and he and I ate them all. The rest of my family thought they were too hard, bless them. These were just Lender's brand, so nothing special.
Way back in the seventies, one of my Tennessee relatives (great aunt?) had the same reaction the first time she tried a bagel, "Those things are too stale and too hard to eat!"
Conversely, a guy my Dad worked with went on vacation in the south and brought back a country ham. After he and his wife tried it, he asked Dad if he wanted it because it was so tough and salty :D
Bagels and Gravy. Southern Fried Bagels. Bagels and Grits. Get with it Waffle House.

Hi guardians, I just got this Rosecraft Lambsfoot via the incredible generosity of Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 !
I am truly blown away by this - It's definitely the nicest (maybe only?) gift I have ever gotten from virtually a complete stranger!
It was just so nice of him. I want to say more, but I am at a lack of words!

Congrats !

Lazy day but I’m on dinner duty. I’m thinking hibachi Chicken and steak on the black stone. I’ll take pictures if I remember to before we scarf it down. Mammoth Charlie lamb today.

😂😂. Charlie had a straggler S model 93 at OKCA and I snatched it up. There was also a guy there selling really nice slabs of mammoth ivory. S model + mammoth = 💡. Glenn has about half my knife collection in his Queue so I decided to spare him yet another project. David V recovered this one.
