Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hi guardians, I just got this Rosecraft Lambsfoot via the incredible generosity of Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 !
I am truly blown away by this - It's definitely the nicest (maybe only?) gift I have ever gotten from virtually a complete stranger!
It was just so nice of him. I want to say more, but I am at a lack of words!

Glad it arrived and you could join us.👍🏻

Being relatively new you may want to visit very first page to understand the nature of this thread.

Welcome to the world of gifting to people you have never met 😂.

Bob does that about 4000% more than everyone else so he’s clinically diagnosed with stage 5 gifters syndrome 😂.

All joking aside, congrats on the the new lamb and kudos to Rufus1949 Rufus1949 .

😂😂. Charlie had a straggler S model 93 at OKCA and I snatched it up. There was also a guy there selling really nice slabs of mammoth ivory. S model + mammoth = 💡. Glenn has about half my knife collection in his Queue so I decided to spare him yet another project. David V recovered this one.

Congrats buddy, very sweet !

Congratulations great first lamb.
Nice 1 Bob.

LOL! My wife and I still laugh about this... as newly arrived Americans living in North Yorkshire my wife was attending some sort of outdoor event organized for the ladies (can't recall exactly). Anyway, the British hostess was handing out sandwiches for lunch. Standard sprouts, or cheese, or ham. My wife asked the same question: don't you have ham AND cheese? The scathing look made her select the ham sandwich and be on her way!
LOL! :D And yet cheese and ham is such a great combination! 🤷‍♂️😂👍

Why would anyone eat a ham sandwich without cheese?! 😵‍💫😁

Good afternoon Guardians, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to call in this morning :( I very suddenly started suffering with the symptoms of a cold last night. So suddenly that I thought it might be an allergic reaction to something. I certainly hope that I'm not starting with hay fever. It's quite unpleasant anyway  I slept very badly, but was hoping to call in, before going to the market, but before I was even out of bed, my phone started ringing. I spent the next 2 hours dealing with neighbours ringing me about our road, and dealing with the Council. Hopefully, the matter is now resolved, but I'm not sure when I became responsible for such matters, particularly as the feller in charge of dealing with Conservation Area issues is on over £50,000 a year (he was on that 15 years ago) I hadn't been able to have breakfast, and by the time I left for the market, I was feeling pretty ropey from the cold symptoms, and lack of sleep, as well as not having eaten for 18 hours 🤨

It's like a summer's day here today, so there was a nice atmosphere in the market. I had some gifts for Tool Man, and something for Ex-Para Steve, and I ended up buying coffee and doughnuts for everyone. Tool Man was stuffing his face as usual, and we had plenty of visitors, including Harry Hotballs, Our Cake Man, Big J, Slimline Scott, Otley Mick, Gravel, and 3 ageing Teddy Girls. I had a walk down to see Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge, and also went to see Nobber Al. I needed to get back home to do some work though, so after 2 1/2 hours, I headed off home. I think I might need to get a nap before doing my work 🥱

An old pic of Otley Mick & Slimline Scott:

I hope everyone is having a great day

Glad you made it to the market, Jack. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

This kroo arrived yesterday with some interesting twists. There is an unobtrusive nail nick and a hollow grind on the blade. Wickedly sharp.
It reminded me of Barrett's GL-24.View attachment 3173852

Nice, Bob. I bet that blade is good and slicey. I kind of wish Eric ground his blades a bit thinner behind the edge, but they still do the job.

Did someone mention food? Buttered bagels for breakfast today. 🤤

I’m glad you pointed out that was butter. At first I was afraid it was cream cheese, and I was going to have to give you a lecture on the proper amount of cream cheese for a bagel. 😉🤣

Still looking for good bagels down here. We actually have them shipped from New Jersey.

That’s dedication, Bob. 😁 I won’t pretend to be a bagel connoisseur (I don’t think I’ve ever had one from New York or New Jersey), but I do enjoy a good everything bagel with a hefty amount of cream cheese, preferably sprinkled with even more everything bagel seasoning (seems you can buy it a few places now, but I prefer the one from Trader Joe’s).

Lazy day but I’m on dinner duty. I’m thinking hibachi Chicken and steak on the black stone. I’ll take pictures if I remember to before we scarf it down. Mammoth Charlie lamb today.

Fancy! 🧐🎩😁

It was the Rosewood HHB for me today (two old pics in lieu of a new one).

Barrett , my favorite HHB.👍🏻

It is quite the slicer Barrett, it is the brother to one Willem at k'roo made for himself. He says it is holding up well.

We used to live a few miles from a Jewish community, so we are spoiled. Any bagel will do with a 3/4 inch slabe of cream cheese.
