Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's gone from rain to bright sunshine here, and I'm just on my way back from the market, after spending a couple of hours with Tool Man and Boring Ray. Apart from me, their only visitor was Big J, who is rather dull, and never stays for long. Tool Man stuffed his face all morning, but it didn't stop him scoffing half my chips, and demanding to know why I had got a chip butty, instead of his preferred chips and gravy πŸ™„ I had a walk over to see Nobber Al and Ex-Para Steve, and Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge, and then decided to head back home via Charlie's cafe ;) πŸ‘

Thanks for the report buddy πŸ‘
One thing I forgot to mention is that the Teds are off to the Rockers Reunion this weekend! :D
Oh my, Katie bar the door 😱 🀣

That, Sir, is dedication to task! May they serve well!

For whatever reason, I’ve always found enjoyment in tasks that others might find repetitive, tedious, mind-numbing, etc. 😁

LOL! That's quite an appetite! πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚ I haven't met Tool Man's sister, and am sure they must share some family traits, but Tool Man reckons they're quite unlike each other - she's intelligent, and lives in London - and she avoids him like the plague! 🫣 I have met his mother several times, and she was a teacher, like his father, and a very pleasant woman, intelligent, kind, well-read, a keen walker. I suspect Tool Man might have been left on their doorstep by a passing band of itinerant, hard-drinking, scrap-metal dealers! πŸ™„πŸ˜‚

I remember you saying that about Tool Man’s parents before. This must’ve been his sister from his real family. 🀣

Busy life Barrett! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I hope Eleanor enjoyed her trip πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Being the parent of an elementary school kid is not for the faint of heart these days! 😳 I don’t remember there being nearly this much parental involvement when I was in school (and my mom taught at the elementary school I went to). 😁

Very industrious my friend πŸ™‚ I also have a stash, but have never thought of looking online (oh, I did buy a few once, but it's years ago). I need to go through all my old ones, I'm much less organised than you! 😁 Nice shot of your Hartshead Barlow πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

This bunch pretty much doubled my stash of extra notebooks, but I’m still going to keep an eye out for more. I have used some special edition Field Notes notebooks in the past, and they’ve held up better than the standard kraft paper covers, but I still prefer these.

Maybe I'll finish it today, but it's my birthday and the universe will be ruled by my caprice.

Happy birthday, Jer!

Great chip-to-bread ratio; looks a tad light on the butter, though. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ And a D&B! I’m jealous! πŸ˜‹

My newest lamb atop one of my favorite mystery novels in recent years. Written by client Gary Phillips; set in a very interesting period of Los Angeles / US history.

Like Jack, I’m a sucker for good book cover artwork, and that one’s very cool.

I'm home from the hospital now - thanks for all of your good wishes. Healing up well, just worn out.

Glad to hear it. Rest up!

I had a different Lambsfoot in my pocket today (Cosimo Lunar Lamb), but I completely forgot to take a picture of it. I picked up this nice Rosewood Wright’s lamb earlier while looking for something in my knife drawers, and have been fiddling with it a bit since then, so here’s a photo of it instead.

Brian on a very wet day.
Cool pic Mitch

I reckon so Barrett, he's definitely the fat cuckoo in the nest! 🀣

Nice :) Some of mine are battered, but they've all held together. I need to go through them, and maybe toss a few out, as I've got a drawer full of them! I've got a leather notebook holder if you ever want to give it a try, found it in my desk drawer the other day

Yeah, a good scoop, though they're charging Β£5 for a chip butty now  I thought you'd like the pic ;)

Thanks Jack. New coaster given to me by the youngest.

Happy birthday, Jer!
😁
I felt a little blessed (not smug), still being able to sling wet mulch bags on my 69th birthday.

I'm done with my admissions e-paperwork, except for ordering transcripts. I'll get that done today.
I also need to mow the back yard, or wait a bit longer till it's scythable. And get some range time in before I apply to renew my pistol license. (It is known that they don't really check, but nowadays they probably could, with our electric gate.)
And get the chain saw out again to finish cutting the buckthorn, and poison the buckthorn and remaining honeysuckle. And poison the lesser weeds with the lesser poison..

I hope you accomplish all those chores Jer. You are starting with a helpful tool.πŸ‘πŸ»
