I'm done with my admissions e-paperwork, except for ordering transcripts. I'll get that done today.
I also need to mow the back yard, or wait a bit longer till it's scythable. And get some range time in before I apply to renew my pistol license. (It is known that they don't really check, but nowadays they probably could, with our electric gate.)
And get the chain saw out again to finish cutting the buckthorn, and poison the buckthorn and remaining honeysuckle. And poison the lesser weeds with the lesser poison..

Happy Friday, Guardians. Back to Charlie’s lamb. There are more barbecue book events in Dallas this weekend. This knife is so great in the pocket — and always ready for meat-slicing duty!

Happy Friday Guardians. Some days are even better than new knife today. Our friend Bob told me to expect a package. I was intrigued. The first thing that came to mind was a prison tattoo kit. Bob knows I admire the Tool Man and maybe thought I’d like to tattoo TED on my neck. By the way I still have not finished the TED tome. Then I thought maybe a pair of braces. I always say braces like they do in the UK. Wearing suspenders there is something I might not do but if I did there’s nothing wrong with that. But Bob probably figured I don’t care if my pants ride low like a boomer OG.

This morning a package via Bob from the Waffle House arrived. I immediately sniffed it for the scent of bacon. Nope. I grabbed my sharp object and cautiously opened the box without cutting myself. It must be super caffeinated coffee. Nope. Behold the WAFFLE HOUSE COFFEE mug. Wow. A sincere thank you Bob. Hilarious and thoughtful. You’re a good guy. I’m getting your amateur tattoo kit together. Here’s some pictures.

I did the transcript requests, which was a little tricky at first.
I mowed the back yard; it looks nice.
I cut down a lot of buckthorn and poisoned the roots, and used the same poison on some pokeweed, grapevines, and honeysuckle.

I'm heating up a frozen pizza and luxuriating.

Somehow I have escaped getting a tattoo, though I have been drunk enough many times.
My wife wears the tattoos in the family. ( and many times the pants)

I've got a leather notebook holder if you ever want to give it a try, found it in my desk drawer the other day

Thanks, but I’m not sure it’d get much use. I usually stick my notebook in a back pants pocket or even in my shirt pocket, so I try to keep it slim. I have resisted the occasional urge to try a cover (I get those Lochby ones advertised to me all the time on social media).

I had a nice lunch with my buddy H herder earlier today. Mexican food (not pictured — I was hungry and tucked in straight away) and a couple cold beers. Had my Cosimo Lunar Lamb with me.

Yeah, same here Barrett I have a Lochby cover, which is nice, and holds a few other useful things, but rarely leaves my bag, and another equally well-made Lochby pouch, which I haven't found a good use for yet
