Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good day all. Amazing, I got out of the dentist chair with just a cleaning!!
Interesting how everyone's GL-24 is aging. I think Tyson has most of us beat.

Here's my GL-24 still fairly new:

And here it is today, after carrying it at least 4 or 5 times a week since it arrived:

It's gone from that lovely medium caramel color to a beautiful rich chocolatey color.

You get used to it Bob, seems some areas of the states is going down the similar paths. Sadly blanket bans don’t address issues.
It’s changed so much in my lifetime at 14 I could walk into a disposal store and buy a boot knife, my mum used to even take me to look.

Steve I was looking at old photos of mine very similar πŸ‘
Yeah, my mum taught me to play 'splits' Mitch! πŸ˜πŸ‘
Just tough for an old geezer like me to get used to these changes.
Yeah, it's not like any of us have done anything wrong πŸ™ I'm really sad not having my Lamb with me πŸ™
Afternoon Guardians! Kat today πŸ‘πŸ€

Sounds heavenly to me Jack! :D

What a lovely Islay dram... :p

I hope you have a good trip my friend.
LOL! 😁 Thanks a lot buddy πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
Love the covers on that old beauty πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Wow, big change Tyson! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Afternoon all
A β€œnew β€œ Kaufmann K 55k arrived today.
In good condition bit dry and gritty. Not sure what the scales are.
Blade doesn’t look to be used much.

After a bit of TLC, smooth. It didn’t have much of an edge. Didn’t take long to put on a good edge.
Really interesting Lamb Mitch, the first Kaufmann I've seen 😎 The blade stamp reminds me of Schultz πŸ‘

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is good. I'm currently whizzing through the English countryside en route to London. I picked up my 'lighy' rucsac this morning, and realised I needed to repack into a wheeled holdall! 🫣 The joys of old age eh? Seems like yesterday I could do 40 miles with a 60Ib pack! πŸ™„ I'm sure there are lots more moments like that to look forward to! πŸ˜– Have a great day Guardians πŸ‘

Thanks gents it was a good find not to pricey as well.
I wonder if Kaufmann was affiliated with Mercator as the K55K has the second k reversed. It’s well put together no gaps in liner, back spring.

They used to produce a range of knives πŸ‘ I note Otter make the Mercator now, reckon they'd make a good Lamb too πŸ‘
Hope you have a good time.
Thanks a lot mate πŸ‘
