He's got chutzpah! That has to be the cutest little calf I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of calves in my day. Does Disney know about this little guy?
Thanks for the follow-up photos, Dennis!I was afraid when I saw your first pic that you had received one of the ones that looked "flat black" to me in the original group pic, and I felt bad for you. But your close-ups show that your knife is at least as cool as the others, and maybe cooler, since yours is like a "photographic negative" with lots of black shot through with orange veins (and that "wave" in the handle).

Thanks for your wonderful remarks, Gary! I couldn't be happier with it!Sounds good, Mykel. My rosewood lambsfoot is probably my favorite:

Thanks!!! I'm proud of this one...I did cut some veggies just now patina update soon.Taylor its such fine looking lambsfoot!![]()
Congrats, Dwight; looks like you have some nice striping on the mark side! After a 15 day sojourn my lamb arrived in her new home. Beautiful knife with a ferocious snap. I like a ferocious snap.
Here is a not-so-great pic of the mark side. It is raining today. The pile side is very dark. Thank you very much Jack for all your tireless work. These knives are worth waiting for!
View attachment 1073694 I'm pretty sure this one is mine Jack.View attachment 1073695
I haven't played pinochle since January 1970, but IIRC that hand you've got is a heavy hitter!
Congrats,My new Guardians Knife arrived yesterday! I have to admit I was starting to get a little anxious. What a beauty!! Thank you for making this possible Jack! I know a lot of time and energy was spent on making this a reality.
Fit and finish is excellent. This is probably the tightest A. Wright knife ive come across so far. Definitely built for work.
I’m really looking forward to watching this one age. The ribbons of gold almost sparkle in the sunlight.

Winning triple play, Charlie; congrats!Home at last, home at last!! The doorbell rang at noon, and my sweetie signed for the package!!
Wet, because it's been drizzling all morning, but well packaged, so dry inside!!
Phew!! Took out my trusty old C.Johnson, to make some judicious cuts, and behold, out popped some tin cans!!

Congrats, @herder; "racing stripes" is a great description!!Well now, I'm just plain happier than this guy (the legendary Porto) with my long awaited and newly welcomed Ironwood model!!!
Subtle complex beauty on the front, with racing stripes on the back, a mighty fine knife!!!
Great to see others arriving in the past few days as well.
I am at the far left in the group picture.

Congrats on the excellent ebony lambsfoot, @WDJ!!I have been looking at all your pictures of ironwood lambs with increasing envy. I could stand it no more, so I decided to dive over the Pennines this morning to the fair city of Sheffield to see if I could scratch the itch. Managed to pick up a splendid Wright lambsfoot in ebony. Am very happy. The only downside is that I have seen a couple of others that I have added to the rather large already want list! I must have had twenty knives in hand whilst in the shop, all Sheffield made, and I must say the fit and finish off them all was really good. IView attachment 1074207 View attachment 1074208 was very impressed. Cheers fellas.
I finally have viewed a pic of mine! Its thetone at the top between OG's and Piston and Gears. I had it sent to a friend who is in the U.K. It was delivered to him 2 days after Jack received themt but his father needed emergency surgery so understandably knife pics waited. To quote my friend "I think it's sterling work and very high quality". Can't wait for it to arrive in frozen Winnipeg. Thanks Jack. Even the most resized photos sent are too large to post so photos of mine must wait
Congrats on at least seeing a pic, and thanks for showing it off here!View attachment 1074234
Figured out to email the attachment to myself.
You've certainly got ME pegged, Rachel!...
As usual, I complain when Spring comes early. I know folks who live in colder climates look forward to it, but we have such long, hot summers here that I relish a bit of chilly weather. Last week I took pictures of knives on ice, and yesterday it hit 90 degrees. It should be a little cooler this weekend, so I'll try to get outside in it.

...I carry a Lambsfoot because...

It's penny wise![]()
Nice sketches!...
Speaking of tiny millimeter units, I just got a 0.2 mm mechanical pencil. It makes my 0.5mm feel like a crayon!

Harry, you even have the right company Canadian Pacific! They haven't made it this far yet, I will be sure to send them home.
Quite a nice trio you’ve got there. Each one is distinctive.I committed a faux pas here earlier and posted some non-lambsfoot stuff.... had to delete that one...
I just received some knives straight from A. Wright. Very pleased with them. The stag is a bit different than what I’m used to, but I like it.... very pleasant in the hand as well. Thought I would share the note they included about the lambfoot pattern..... name and address blotted out, lest I break some more rules!

GT that is fantastic ironwood my friend! You hit the jackpot! Very nice to see such a beauty come to rest at your place. Well done and looking forward to the name you come up with for such a fine example. Thanks, Jack, for "casting the vision" of these knives, and then going through all the details of bringing them to Guardians around the globe!!!
I can only hope my Rosie is as comely as your fine example GT.Sounds good, Mykel. My rosewood lambsfoot is probably my favorite:

This thread is moving so fast that I can't keep track of whether you have received your new one or not but I have sent you some help on getting it through my friend . If you get it and see these guys , just tell them to go home .
Wow, is a BBFO (Double B) one worse on the scale as far as the FO's go?
I'm not going to say I'm jealous...but I am!
Nice Tri-Stag Lambsfoot!![]()
Congrats, Dwight; looks like you have some nice striping on the mark side!I look forward to seeing your knife in brighter light, and especially to seeing a pile side shot. I just noticed that yours is the middle knife in a group of 3 that didn't get "flipped" for Jack's original group shots!
I haven't played pinochle since January 1970, but IIRC that hand you've got is a heavy hitter!
Congrats, draggat ; very handsome ironwood lambsfoot!
The marked color pattern is especially attractive IMHO!
Winning triple play, Charlie; congrats!Variety is the spice of life!
Congrats, @herder; "racing stripes" is a great description!!
Congrats on the excellent ebony lambsfoot, @WDJ!!
Congrats on at least seeing a pic, and thanks for showing it off here!I hope you don't have to wait TOO long for the final long leg of its journey.
You've certainly got ME pegged, Rachel!
Nice sketches!I've learned that I don't have a light enough touch to go below 0.5mm on my mechanical pencils. But 0.5 is way better than the 0.7mm I used in my youth. What's that template sheet? Various sizes of circles, or are there other shapes, too?
I received a slightly belated Valentines Day gift from the postal workers of the world yesterday! I found a package from Leeds in my mailbox at work just after 5pm as I was preparing to head home Friday. I took some photos in my "living room photo studio" Friday night, and Saturday I took some morning pics in my laundry room studio and some outdoor shots when the sun broke through mid-afternoon. I think it's a beautiful knife with a distinguished, calm mark side and a more bold, colorful pile side. Here are the first 2 photos I took:

I REALLY like the way the "kink" in the grain on the pile side, as illustrated in the last pic above, gives the illusion of a "valley" running vertically across the width of the knife just to the left of the center pin in the photo.
Thanks, Jack, for "casting the vision" of these knives, and then going through all the details of bringing them to Guardians around the globe!!!

Jack Black Cheers and to your good health.
Yes sir, I think you scored a very unique one there! I too love the valley, reminds me of the military maps, a draw or ridge on a mountain or hill!Congrats, Dwight; looks like you have some nice striping on the mark side!I look forward to seeing your knife in brighter light, and especially to seeing a pile side shot. Thanks. I'm trying to get back in the habit of carrying a sketchbook. Doodling in it is more productive in moments of downtime than playing "thumb games" on the phone. The template is just circles. When my father was visiting last summer, I mentioned that some of my drawings required dividing a circle in particular segments, and I was trying to figure out how to mark the circumference evenly. He explained that what I needed to determine is the secant, and that this is a trigonometry problem. (I never got that far in math) He sat down and wrote up a table for me to use.Nice sketches!I've learned that I don't have a light enough touch to go below 0.5mm on my mechanical pencils. ETA: I forgot to include where my life is located in the group shot. Basically, it's bottom center. The bolster of Taylor's knife is almost touching the nil nick of my blade, and the bolster of Chin's knife is almost touching the barreled end of my knife.
