Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Seems kind of the norm here these days. As the younger generation takes over the entry level food service jobs, I've noticed a sharp decline in customer service. I don't want to sound like one of those old fools, but kids just aren't raised to be respectful and polite as much as they used to. And they feel entitled to dress and act any way they want when at work. There are still plenty of good kids out there, but they aren't the ones taking these entry level jobs, the better jobs are snatching them all up. Hopping off my soap box now

Yeah, I've been to this place before, but it seems to have changed hands recently, I should have realised something was wrong when I walked in, and there were no other customers  Certainly not the only poor experience I've in an eating establishment recently, but by far the worst in a long time o_O

Good Morning Guardians.

And I was hungry like the wolf! :D

Sorry! Some bad clothes and haircuts! :D

I didn't come back from the market completely empty-handed

I have had this one with me today. An oldie but a goody.

Excellent photo Dylan, liking that horn being light.
Thanks Preston.

Yeah, that knife is one which I was amused to see in a hardware shop in Belfast city centre. Given that in Australia, hardware outlets are mostly all big Home Depot style places, owned by the same company, I was interested to see that in Ireland they are still largely independent concerns, owned and run by a local family.

You’re right, it’s very much a sheepsfoot blade, lacking the necessary taper of spine to edge out to the tip of the Real Lambsfoot blade.

I would guess the knife wasn’t made in England. I think it was actually marked ‘Italy’.

It’s interesting though, that in marketing this cheap tool aimed at gardeners and farmers, the hardware company chose to use the familiar Real Lambfoot designation.

It was horrid looking enough behind the glass, that I didn’t bother to ask to look at it, or consider buying it as a curiosity!

When you would see the rosewood A. Wright knives in these hardware shops, they were obviously aimed at the same market, and started at around the equivalent of $35USD.
Thanks Chin, appreciate it, learning about different knives is part of the fascinating world of our hobby.
Gracias mi amigo.:)

Another quick food pic:

Yummy, both the food and the knife.

Hard to put this one away.
Why would you want to Vince?
I have been lavishing all my attention on the ironwood lambsfoot and this one got jealous, so I had to switch things out today.

Good idea, that is a handsome knife.
No pointy finds on the market I'm afraid :( A bloke I know bought a big parcel of them, and sold them to another bloke I know last week, and in turn, he sold some of them to me. There were supposed to be more this week, but the first bloke had decided to sell them to another bloke - who I don't know :( No worries ;)

That's disappointing, sorry Jack...'good things come to those who wait'

Good Morning Guardians.
You're right John, the feeling of entitlement is rampant in the younger work force. The 'good help is hard to find' applies! Excellent photo

The weather is much warmer today, hope all Guardians have a good Thursday.

I tried to avoid the word"entitled", but it certainly seems to fit when they feel it's their "right" to dress, talk, and act any way they want in front of customers. If you ask me, raising the minimum wage too high has people content with entry level jobs and not looking to better themselves to move up in the world. I'll quit now, I think my Conservative Values are showing

John, how much is the minimum wage per hour where you are?
