Stag for Monday. Have a great one, Guardians!
That Ashley is lookin mighty fine, Vince!
annnd thanks for the complement.

Thanks Kevin. Yep its rosewood. Lovely ebony you have there that's fixing to get eaten by JAWS.
I really like the texture that rosewood can have ( like yours )
Btw, I don't think JAWS has a chance against the mighty Lambsfoot. ;):D

Nice pictures gentlemen.
Thank you, thank you very much. :D

Cool pics Kevin, (like me) you don't throw much away do you?! :p :D  I thought that was the Jaws book at first, hilarious that there was a soundtrack album! :D
You never throw away the good stuff! ;):D My wife might occasionally dispute what "good stuff" is.:D
The Jaws soundtrack is pretty corny. I always thought the whole thing, both sides, should be the "attack" music. :D

That's the face of a cat who's up to something.
Popcorn kittens! :D ...now Rachel you know I'm just funnin....
:D:thumbsup:
that's a "Full English Breakfast" and it's a plateful!

the other picture was a Scotch egg -- take a boiled egg, wrap it in sausage, roll that in bread crumbs and bake or deep fry.
There's a barbecue/meat market in a little town outside Austin called Hutto. They sell something called a Hutto Hippo Egg: a cream cheese stuffed jalapeno, wrapped in sausage, wrapped in bacon and slow grilled. That is a breakfast that stays with you all day.

Sounds great except for the cream cheese. Substitute cheddar! :)

Well nailed Erik, who'd a thought that British cuisine could be exported! :D

One can only imagine the foul words being spoken! ;) :D

Yeah... I pretty much didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. I was trying to perpetually make room for more ale later on. 'Twas a task!

Worth it though!

Yep, Erik nailed it. It is my understanding that a "Full English" breakfast can vary in couple of ways but it generally will have eggs, rashers, sausage, black and white pudding, beans, and maybe some bread (pictured is Irish soda bread(amazing!)), peas, tomato, mushrooms, and/or potatoes.

Hefty indeed.

And yes, Scotch eggs are amazing! I have a friend who makes them and they are incredible.

When I was young, a Full English was always a good precursor to a boozing session, but I struggle to drink after that much food now, I'd probably just fall asleep! :D The addition of white pudding is really a Scottish thing I think, I've not seen peas here, but common additions are hash browns (only common for about the last 30 years), fried bread (less common than in the past, except in the north of Ireland, where they serve 3 different types with an Ulster Fry), 'bubble 'n' squeak' is very traditional in London, sometimes more meat is added, toast is essential - though I'd take good soda bread anyday), fried potatoes are common (I had batata harra with a breakfast the other day). When I was a kid, flat oatcakes, which usually get referred to as 'Staffordshire Oatcakes' today, were very common, and great for soaking everything up :) I have periodically teased my girlfriend about making a Full English Breakfast PIE, but she's revolted by the idea   All the more reason to make it! :D

Not exactly haute cuisine, but I thought you folks might enjoy this ;) :

Well, I have a new hero!
Did I hear correctly that he said he added "digested biscuits" to the fishing trip breakfast  ?
If I heard correctly, please enlighten me. If not, I'll forget about the knife I'm considering and pick up a hearing-aid instead :(
:D

Digestive biscuit

Terrific Tuesday Guardians, I think it's pancakes for the win today, Rosie agreed with me.
