Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Every time I get back to this thread, I’m 20+ pages behind. Just goes to show how passionate everyone is here. About both the lambsfoot pattern and the community here.

As much as I love my AC and the new ironwood, I keep coming back to this rosewood as an almost-daily carry. So simple and so awesome.

Joe
Same here, Joe. The rosewood gets regular carry and the ironwood just sits there and looks pretty,

Dwight, you've done it again with that photo, great composition, texture, value...all the things that visually stimulate!
Thank you!

The warm-up continues here, first of several that will be above freezing. I'm taking Rosie and run a few errands, get the truck washed and hit a few flea markets.
Good luck at the fleas. :)

Jack Black Jack Black - I forgot to give my 2 cents with regard to the pull on these lambs. I would say both are an 8. I absolutely love a strong pull and a gator snap. I would prefer it on all my knives but I know I'm in the minority. It is one of the most endearing qualities of these knives imho.

Looks great... almost looks like it has a heart beat. :)

Kevin what a wonderful photo of a remarkable Lambsfoot.:D

Very nice! Congratulations! :D

Love the squiggly lines. Beautiful. Congratulations.

The ripple...very cool!

What a beauty, but I'm sorry to say that Jack had the one with my initial on it sent to you by mistake.
I'll pm my address to you in a bit.;)

LOL! :D That's a great offer! Thanks my friend :)

Great stuff :)

Beautiful grain and chatoyance on that one Kevin!

Thanks y'all! I am pretty dang happy with this beauty!
mykel m mykel m Your name starts with a "W"?! o_O;):D
Jack Black Jack Black The offer is good anytime, my friend.....Pancakes as big as manhole covers!

Jack, both the Rosewood and Ironwood have broke in to the point that I can open them and not break a nail(which are brittle...being an old fart). I think what Rachel said is very applicable, especially the part about becoming accustom to the individual knife.
That Ebony is so dark and even...one of those is on my list...a long list,so many knives, so little time!

That's a nice photo. Dave, looks like it could be a twin to Jack's

Yours is impressive for sure Alan, love it's diagonal orientation.

It is good to introduce others to the wonders of the Lambsfoot...great lighting on that Rosewood, John, really shows the grain!

That's good to hear Preston, I hope your nails are OK. Are you able to pinch the blade open at all? That's an impressive-looking Rosewood model, and clearly well-used :)

Could you imagine... Lol
He lets me play with his $600.00 knives and I make him jump over hoops to hold my rosewood. :D

Thank you, and Rosie is looking well loved. What's the story on those faces?

Yeah, but they'll probably have 'super steel' blades and synthetic diamond covers! :D

Joe

I know what you mean Joe, a good well-used working-knife has a special allure :)

Well, you haven't had that Ironwood long John :D

Jack Black Jack Black
I'm not sure, but this one does appear to be about 1/8" shorter in both blade and handle length. The overall profile is much slimmer as well, making it feel like a big difference in hand and in pocket.

A great size for watch-pocket carry

I agree absolutely Dwight :)

Darn it, just got distracted by some telephone survey! Lying individual told me it'd take 2 minutes, then 5 minutes later, kept telling me, "This is literally the last question"! Had to hang up in the end

Well, lets just say W is my middle initial, it stands for Wish, as in..I wish Jack hadn't sent you my knife.:p:D

Seriously though, that is one beautiful knife, congrats on the score.
Mine's been in transit for 2 whole days now.
I better get to town and check my mail box!

I reckon it's probably going to be taking it's time, not wanting to be second best! :D

Thank you. I taught elementary art, when I'd introduce ceramics to kids in the primary grades I would demonstrate fundamental techniques by making one of these faces and use it through out the entire process. Had to be quick and since it was 'mud', it was dirty
Thank you!

Good luck at the fleas. :)

Not able to pinch the blade on either one, I just have to live with the nails. Being the first, Rosie, is near and dear to my heart.
I don't answer the pone unless I know who it on the other end. For those who leave a message, delete is my best buddy!

That is an impressive photo of a like-wise knife!
Just in case anyone wants to play Spot the Lambsfoot ;)

That is a fun game to play...I spot a few of the ones I've seen recently.

I'm interested to hear what folks think, because I could always ask Wright's to lighten the pull with large future orders. Personally, I'd be reluctant to do that, as I think if a user finds the pull too stiff for them, the knife can be fine-tuned, and the pull strength reduced. However, the reverse isn't true

Morning folks, enjoying all your posts :) I haven't carried my 2018 Ebony in a week or so  Making up for that today ;)

Jack, the walk and talk on my all Lambsfoot knives is one of the first things that really impressed me. I love that solid “thwack” on opening and closing. I have never really had any problems with knives having too strong of a pull. I can understand where they can be problematic for some people and I can sympathize! I will say one thing for sure, you don’t want to get your fingers in the way when you are closing the blade. Personally I would not want the pull changed. :)

That’s a great picture of your ‘18 Ebony!

Here’s my ‘18 Ebony that’s sharing pocket time with one of its domestic friends today! :D

Mine's on the tippy top.

Very nice :) Those two-tone covers fascinate me :)

Sorry to hear that Preston, but hope you're managing OK now. I don't blame you, I was expecting a call from the hospital, and unfortunately they insist on withholding the number :(
