We definitely have them here, they're produced over the hill from me in Lancashire (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisherman's_Friend). I used to like their Extra Strong Mints, but it's decades since I had one of the lozenges. When I was a kid, I'd buy them when I had a cold, they're serious gear!

My first job was as an apprentice mechanic, and I remember one time having a stinking cold, but I had to work anyway, so I had one in my mouth, releasing the strong menthol vapours. A feller came up to ask me something, and as we were talking I suddenly realised his eyes were watering from the fumes!

For years, they just did the one type, and they just sold in small quantities, then, for some reason, they became a big hit in Europe and they launched loads of different types. I'll have to look out for the tins
