Thanks John!Purdy blue color on that!!!
Thanks Jack!Looking good Ron![]()
Cool, I guess I should have stated that the white in the handle of the lambsfoot reminds me of the clouds we get when a Chinook ie. warm winds are coming in from the Pacific. Thanks Dave, I had to look that upThe background is Malham Cove in Yorkshire, I've climbed on that face a few times

Good to see you here Preston, I hope you're keeping OK. Hopefully not too much caffeine!![]()
I think it's about the same as a cup of coffee, and the alcohol is moderate too. It's just a beer from the supermarket, brewed by a well-known Welsh brewery called Brains. That's a great pic of your Guardians Lambsfoot Preston

Banana nachos??? I don't know about that....![]()
Now THERE'S an idea! Instead of jalapeños? Or use banana slices as the chips? Maybe banana chips? Lots of possibilities....
My horror is caused by the thought of the coarseness of the stones GT. My grandfather still kept his main stone in the cardboard box it came in, it had two sides, one 'fine', one 'coarse', but in reality they were 'coarse' and 'very coarse'He did give me a couple of slightly finer pocket stones though

Happy memories Dave![]()
Hey, we Brits had cars for skinny people too!

A very successful Pi Day, if I do say so myself.
I am ready to lay down and enter my food coma now.
I had apple/pear pie, apple pie, Oreo cream pie, and best of all... chicken pot pie.![]()
![]()
And there is my Lambsfoot peaking out of its slip to be part of the festivities...
You might also notice that one of my students knitted me a coffee cup coaster so I wouldn't leave rings on the counter.![]()
Really

Thanks, BarrettI remember seeing Brains signs outside a lot of pubs in Cardiff. I don't think I would've taken much notice of them, except that I thought Brains was a rather odd name for a brewery.Sadly we didn't stop in any pubs that day, but we did head back to my brother's with a couple dozen Welch cakes, which were quite tasty!
That sounds about as good as the Swedish pizza I was reading about a while back, topped with banana and peanuts.
I've been using DMT's Dia-Sharp continuous surface diamond plates for a couple years now. I like them, but their coarseness/grit ratings seem similar to what you're describing there. The two I have are Fine and Extra Fine, but the Fine is fairly coarse, and I only use it sparingly (usually to set a new bevel). They have three grits below that: Coarse, Extra Coarse and Extra-Extra Coarse. I can't imagine what you'd need that last one for! A couple passes and your knife would resemble one of those toothpick-shaped blades found on used up flea market finds!
Just watch out for those corners!![]()

I'm looking forward to cigar weather here in MN. It got up above 40°F the last couple days, which felt quite warm, but it also rained the whole time, and now the temps have dropped again.
That's a beautiful camera, Jack, but I can't imagine it takes very good pictures!![]()

Looks like you did it right, John!Pi Day is our wedding anniversary, but my wife's favorite desert is tiramisu, so we had that instead. Of course, I couldn't leave the Italian bakery without a few cannoli (one of my favorites).

Beautiful photos, Dave!
I took this photo a while back for my Imitation giveaway, and realized it's the only group photo I have of all my Lambsfoot knives. Just ignore that one in the middle.

Here, maybe this is better...
