I remember seeing Brains signs outside a lot of pubs in Cardiff. I don't think I would've taken much notice of them, except that I thought Brains was a rather odd name for a brewery. :D Sadly we didn't stop in any pubs that day, but we did head back to my brother's with a couple dozen Welch cakes, which were quite tasty!

They're huge there Barrett, with their best known beer - S.A. - being known locally as 'Skull Attack' (despite its modest ABV) :D

I've been using DMT's Dia-Sharp continuous surface diamond plates for a couple years now. I like them, but their coarseness/grit ratings seem similar to what you're describing there. The two I have are Fine and Extra Fine, but the Fine is fairly coarse, and I only use it sparingly (usually to set a new bevel). They have three grits below that: Coarse, Extra Coarse and Extra-Extra Coarse. I can't imagine what you'd need that last one for! A couple passes and your knife would resemble one of those toothpick-shaped blades found on used up flea market finds! :D

I suspect that's how a lot of those flea-market toothpicks got like that Barrett! :D I've used DMT pocket stones, but I find them very coarse. Even the diamond stones for the Sharpmaker, I don't use routinely. I use a Lansky Puck for my axes, but have only ever used the 'fine' side

Just watch out for those corners! :D

I think that might be in Sheffield! :D I've been in a Reliant, and it was hairy! :D

That's a beautiful camera, Jack, but I can't imagine it takes very good pictures!  ;)

The pictures are rotten Barrett, but who cares?! :D Just say 'CUT!' ;)

Looks like you did it right, John! Pi Day is our wedding anniversary, but my wife's favorite desert is tiramisu, so we had that instead. Of course, I couldn't leave the Italian bakery without a few cannoli (one of my favorites).

"Leave the knife, take the cannoli." :D

Congratulations to you and the missus Barrett :) Those look scrumptious my friend :)

I took this photo a while back for my Imitation giveaway, and realized it's the only group photo I have of all my Lambsfoot knives. Just ignore that one in the middle. ;)

Here, maybe this is better... :D

LOL! Cool pics mate :D

I can't even look at desserts today. :D

:D

Hi. I was directed here...

Hi,

This is the Lambsfoot thread, and that is the only pattern we discuss here. Nice knife, but could you please edit it out please? There is a whole forum for identification here: https://www.bladeforums.com/forums/bernard-levines-knife-collecting-identification.691/

Nice, congratulations Ray!

Thanks Dannis, that's another great pic, we don't see too many from that perspective

My shoveling days are over, David! If it gets to deep for my Tacoma and the sun doesn't do the job, I just don't go. The man with the Bobcat will be here and take care of the 4-6 foot drifts. February and March are our snowiest months...have had snow and freezing temps around Mother's Day.

Aye February is usually our coldest month to, but this year has been quite mild. My birthday is on the 28th and this is only the fourth year out of 46 it's not snowed a week either side of my birthday.
I like your snow clearing philosophy; "let it melt, sit indoors drink beer" :D:thumbsup:

I suspect it'd go into flight David, and soon after be at the bottom of the North Sea! :D

It better had fly cos it sure wouldn't make the climb out of Pickering under it's own steam... :D

Oh, and Happy Pi Day! It's a shame they don't have Pi Day in Europe, because there aren't 31 days in April. :D

If you visit Wigan in Greater Manchester it's pi(e) day 365 days a year :)

Cool, I guess I should have stated that the white in the handle of the lambsfoot reminds me of the clouds we get when a Chinook ie. warm winds are coming in from the Pacific.:p

Afternoon Guardians, in addition to being house bound for the last couple of days, I had computer issues. Luckily I was able to get out and take it to a shop and am ready to go.
Here's the bobcat/skidsteer digging me out. Taken through my window

I've putzed around and it's now afternoon here, Vince, so have a great afeternoon.

That sounds about as good as the Swedish pizza I was reading about a while back, topped with banana and peanuts.

I'm looking forward to cigar weather here in MN. It got up above 40°F the last couple days, which felt quite warm, but it also rained the whole time, and now the temps have dropped again.

That's a beautiful camera, Jack, but I can't imagine it takes very good pictures!  ;)

Well done Barrett, brains having several meanings and used in unfamiliar context can throw a person off!

No problem here with that Dennis, love seeing lamb foot after lamb foot.

Thanks, Jack! That Reliant is indeed in Sheffield. It’s from an old episode of Top Gear. I shared the video a while back in Carl’s Lounge, and I think you may have even commented that you recognized some steel works in some of the shots. :D
