Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

No knife pics, today - just some random thoughts.

mitch4ging mitch4ging FWIW, when I saw that pic of your amazing knife, I was reminded of a feather from a Golden eagle (think a chief's head dress). All the connotations of beauty and power certainly fit, for sure

Great recommendations and music to start off the day, thanks to all! Nothing better than good music to go along with coffee and a cigar on this glorious day of blue sky's. It's the first day I'm able to open up the house and get some fresh air circulating. Can't ask for more ;)

Levon Helm, a few thoughts about an amazing talent - both musician and actor. Although chiefly the drummer and harmony singer, he started The Band which served as back up for Bob Dylan for quite a while. Notable hits for The Band included "The Weight", "Up On Cripple Creek" and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down".
The first picture I saw him in was "Coal Miner's Daughter" - he was Loretta Lynn's (Sissy Spacek) coal mining father. He also sang "Blue Moon of Kentucky" in that film. He also portrayed the Confederate general in "In The Electric Mist" which starred Tommy Lee Jones. He also had brief roles in "Shooter" starring Mark Wahlberg and in "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada", again with Tommy Lee Jones in the starring role.
You might think that I'm quite the Levon Helm fan and you'd be right. No too shabby for an old boy from Arkansas

Nina Simone - extraordinary. Have you heard "Sinner Man" from the remake of Steve McQueen's "Thomas Crown Affair" movie which starred Pierce Bronson?
OG
And don't forget Levon was Sam Shepherd's side kick in The Right Stuff, gave him the gum!:thumbsup:

I'm right there with you, OG, he was a great talent! :)
Here’s my humble addition to this fine thread.

It would be hard to get tired of that one! It is a looker!:thumbsup:
Have / had a few relatives living there. Still have an aunt and a couple of cousins. Had an aunt and uncle out in Apache Junction, but they passed away last year. Spent a couple of weeks in Scottsdale at the Motorola campus.
I'm originally from Silver City, NM.
Need to head out there soon and visit what's left of family out there.

Good evening, Guardians.

I thought I would drop in and say hello. We've had some excellent sunshine the last few days and it seems like it is starting to warm up a bit. As nice as that is, it means spring chores are right around the corner...

However, tonight warrants a libation and a smoke.

Cheers Dylan. So much nice there. Cool cigar wrapper on the Baccarat. You don’t see that combination very often.
