Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Gorgeous Ron. In that pic it looks like horn soup bone!!
Thanks Dwight! :) It is some special Horn! Midnight Special that is! :D

That was back in my biker days, every bar we would pull into either in Canada or the USA, CCR was playing on the jukebox. Man, I wish I could do it all over again.:D
You could do it all over again Dave! ;) But your wife might have something to say about it!

As suggested by David, I'm posting a photo with sun...:thumbsup:

As I'm new I thought I'd post credentials: purchased this in a garden / garage sale a couple of years ago. I was visiting my sister in Melbourne I paid the princely sum of $3. The lassy wanted $5 but didn't want to change a note. I had $3 and a bit in change. I think I bought her ex's knife! It's very well put together, the blade appears to be carbon steel takes a great edge off an india stone and seems to stay keen a long time. It's only flaw is the tiny nail-nick. The back spring is strong and is possibly sentient with attitude, bringing excitement to the dull world of cardboard recycling....

very good knife, but for that value I think won the lottery...:)

Alan and John, Those are a couple of great looking Lamb Foot knives, nicely photographed!
Thanks you.

No forgiveness necessary, you know what's important...spending time with your family! The forum will be here:thumbsup::)
Thanks again. I'll contribute where I can this week.

Almost lost in the Rosemary! :) Hope you're having a great time catching up with your son John
Thanks, Jack. It's great having him home and hearing about all the cool stuff he's been doing. Studying engineering and Physics doesn't leave a lot of free time, but he does manage to have some fun too. Being home is his chance to relax and recharge.

JohnDF JohnDF Your Lamb looks like it is heralding that Spring has sprung.
Thanks. I'm not sure if the blooms make my Lambsfoot look prettier, or vice versa.

Thank you Jack.:)The Licorice brings to mind my Dads favorite confection and a sip of Drambuie :D

We had coffee and Drambuie to round off our meal yesterday :)

Beautiful black knife, and the patina is perfect! Is that from slicing liquorice? (The candy reminds me of a Gatling gun!)

Thanks Vince :D

Rare and exotic my friend ;)

Nice picture Jack. Are these licorice gums or Lucar connectors? ;)o_O

:D

I got the bag of liquorice to share with my pal's 3 kids on our train journey yesterday. It turned out they had never even seen it before! The eldest, keen to try anything new, took a piece, while his siblings looked on with looks of slight horror. He told them, "It's nice, it's not like it looks!" :D

A great start and a hearty welcome.

Half/Stop Half/Stop The rain on your Ebony makes it look even nicer, Ron.

dc50 dc50 Dave, your images are top rate. As far as I’m concerned, everybody here does a top notch job of communicating their pride, passion, and bonhomie. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing.

Fodderwing Fodderwing Thank you kindly Dwight.

I have a few, but it usually takes a shot or two of Whisky to get the ole memory working again. :p Being married 50 years this coming Sept, and every once in a while I'll be talking to someone and tell them a story from my past and my wife Exclaims I didn't know that! it surprises me as well, because I figure she's heard them all before. ;)

Give them kids some liquorice in this form:

Actually, they're not bad; they do help with a cough!

By the way, Flitz polish does a great job on knife blades. Had a patina going for several months, but Flitz removed it in no time. :)
