Guilty Pleasures / Odd Interests

Those two would be my guilty pleasures, literally, both knives I think are super neat, both would be illegal to own. Hence I have refrained from skirting the law. I have however contemplated to write to some politicians, albeit given recent events and history chances are below zero that they would even consider changing knife laws.
Edit: Same with OTF's and Pushdaggers, kinda cool, very illegal, hence I would love to own one, but alas, can't.

Oddball Pick:

Just something kinda...upbeat about those super funky colorful knives, I can't see myself ever buying one (aside from cost) but I do like to look at them once in a while. :D

I like balisongs, but I'm pretty sure I'd like them even without the stupid "dangerous, illegal" factor. I'm not even that much into flipping them, it's just a great, simple, secure folding knife design. Their illegal status will remain a mystery to me. It's a guilt by association thing I suppose. I guess it's also a law that even though it doesn't make sense, not enough people care about it enough in order for anyone to go through the hassle of having it changed.

You could get a blunt trainer. It's what I did. Kinda alright to fidget with but (in my opinion) quickly shows why the are more toys than real EDCs. Yeah you could use them but you definitely are going to get looks

Inexpensive stiletto knives is my guilty pleasure.
I've been buying them on and off for over 40 years.

Illegal to own? Where?

Germany. Balisongs, Pushdaggers, OTF (all considered weapons) and public carry of one handed opening knives that lock. Oh and Gravity knives too.

Sad. There should be a mechanism for you to get a permit to own these as a collector.

Just knives in general. They give me pleasure and most carry some degree of feeling guilty since my tastes have scaled up.

I picked up a Snecx from Bladeshow for a buddy of mine. It's a very well-engineered knife to say the least...

He’s releasing another production one soon. A Hoback and Snecx collaboration. I never knew about this CKF one. Does it disassemble with no tools as well?

Yep, it does. I didn't disassemble it because it wasn't mine and it cost $990! It was the second one ever sold apparently, so I think this model is somewhat limited and quite rare.

Screw you for telling me that. It looks like a front flipper too? (Is it?) That’s like 300$ more than I’ve spent on any knife.

Who knows maybe some wealthy long lost relative will die and I’ll get a cheque in the mail.

Ha ha! There were 3 of them on the table at Bladeshow when I got to their table. He filled out my authenticity card with #2, so I take it he only brought 4 of them here to the US. Those guys were hard to understand due to their strong Russian accent, but were real smiley and friendly. I just smiled and was friendly right back and walked away $990 poorer...:D
