Guilty Pleasures / Odd Interests

My other guilty pleasure:

Awesome collection! I would be too tempted to take those out, and run around waving them all over the place like Sweeney Todd!

I just love steel, and the history.
All have good edges, no missing chips, just micro ones, none smile or frown too much, some only need a quick honing and they'd be shave ready, but all could be restored... however I only have 5 that I actually redid the edges on, honed, and actually use when I shave, the rest I keep as simple decorative pieces.

My obsession slight hasnt materialized yet, but I'm infatuated with finding a Ted Nugent Leek. Not sure why, but the design is just cool as hell.

Me too. I'm almost 50 and any thing that glows pulls me in. Have a SAK and a custom back spacer for my Techno and still amaze me.
Is your techno backspacer from Cuscadi? I have one on mine I left it in the sunny window all day and it barely glowed, nothing like the pictures I see people posting.

Modern folders could be considered a guilty pleasure.
I have a few I like and carry here and there as a change of pace, but I definitely feel guilty when I do it.

I'm still waiting for someone to drop the Christmas story inspired small French kate knife...

GEC I'm talking to you!!! Get on it!!! (Before rough rider or timber wolf does)

Que - "but you'll poke your eye out!" Jokes...

A Christmas Story French Kate in nifebrite or sunbrite with bolsters and cross-hatched nickel inlays for the fishnets, and a "Major Award" blade etch, would be the greatest Christmas present of all time.

I do believe I would plunk down money for one of those. The intersection of kitsch and personal interests would exert a tremendous gravity on my wallet! :D

I had to pick up this little oddball. Apparently I have a fondness for French knives. That's not a corkscrew on the back, it's a buck marksman style lock and they've twisted the bar/spring just for aesthetics.

I have one of those on my list. What do you think of it?

Ever heard of two handed lock stick? This has THREE handed lock stick. I seriously had to get my wife to help me close the damn thing. It was so stuck that it took both of my hands to disengage the lock and then her help closing the blade so I didn't accidentally slam it into my fingers. Back to bladehq it goes!
