It’s a perfect combination, that’s for sure! I’ll be carrying it in shorts this weekend, probably a bit overkill, but who cares. Nobody will see.My favorite IWB holster when carrying 1911s, hands-down.![]()
Brownells has them in stock for the government model. Better than the 40 week wait from Milt himself.Classic.
Where did you find an SSII so fast?
Thanks. Yeah 40 weeks was not a welcome sight. Just checked and all that is in stock are G26 and G27.Brownells has them in stock for the government model. Better than the 40 week wait from Milt himself.

1911's are like Lay's potato chips. Can't have just 1.Finally built up the scones to do a detailed strip. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I think I want to fit a beaver tail safety. This gun has some minor hammer bite. I told myself that I wasn’t going down the 1911 rabbit hole, yet here I am.

The M9 isn’t bad to detail strip, similar to CZ. The 1911 was not bad at all, took about an hour to detail strip, stone some burrs off, clean and put back together. I also took my time.Nice.
How long did it take to put it back together? Serious question. Doing that with a Beretta M9 is a pain …
Is that a Williams peep for the rear sight? My Savage mk2 project is finally complete.

Hopefully this .650 skinner guide series front sight I installed is tall enough.

It's going to be awhile before I can get out and do some testing with it though.
With the factory front sight it was shooting at least 12" high at 20yd, this one is 1/4" taller and hopefully tall enough to leave room for elevation adjustment.
