Gun Picture Thread

Thanks, I’m returning them unfortunately. They are micarta that have been sealed with polyurethane, which make them slicker than owl shit! .45 will jump around in my hands with no checkering on the frame and smooth grips.

I wondered about that, and it's the hesitation that I've had in ordering a pair. Good to know. 👍

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything.

Trying out the new Shield X as an EDC. It has been outstanding and what I’ve wanted out of a slimmer pistol for a while.

The T1C holster is also excellent. Have a new wedge coming from Phlster.

Same type mags as their Shield Plus. I think their considered single to double stack. Comes with a 13 and 15 round. The mag pictured is a 15 round.
What made you decide to go with a safety model? I hate safeties on striker fired guns.

It's the model that came out first. I don't use it and it's stiff, so it never engages unless you intentionally put it on. Most people refer to this safety as a holster safety. Put it on to reholster and then take it off.

I can take or leave it.

I've noticed that they are fairly stiff to engage, and the tab doesn't stick up very far, so it seems unlikely to be engaged accidentally. IIRC they are also stiff to disengage. The purchaser has to weigh all of this and decide if they do or don't want a safety.

Wish you were closer, Brother.

I'd let you run a couple of boxes through that b!tch. 🤙

*Your average 230gr load, through a "chunk port" (*and properly sprung 1911), is a thing of GLORY! Trust me on that. ❤️
Brother if I were closer, I would you up on it. I bet that is a sweet shooter.
