Guns & Hinderers

I'll never object to any comparison with the Duke  Those lever actions are incredibly cool! I'm sure they are an absolute blast to shoot!

KJ and NJ both your pictures are so timeless, a throw back if you will into a different time and maybe a simpler life, times when a good Knife, gun and drink were savored and appreciated.

Thanks for the compliments, one was built in 1921 and is a .32 cal the other built in 1931 and is a .30 cal. All original bluing and wood, and as the years go by the patina just gets richer, something you don't get with black plastic. I like and appreciate wood, The Randall has a desert ironwood handle, and I built the Adirondack chair from cedar and it just aged naturally from the sunlight. Now the Hinderer XM 18 with the textured titanium ano bronzed scales also has that classy timeless appearance.

My 3.5 flipper with slicer blade and blue/black G10 came this afternoon. Time for a photo with my Cooper/Swarovski combo.

Doesn't everyone keep their bike inside during the winter months? :p

I bet Darth Vader comes to you for cool stuff (in all black, of course).

OOOOH, nice setup! I've owned a Cooper for seven years and have yet to shoot it...

Thanks. This one is a .204 shooting 4000 fps hand loads and has about 400 rounds down the barrel. My last trip to the range, on a bench rest, I had 10 rounds completely hidden under a dime at 100 meters. The knife is my first Hinderer and is brand new.

:) LOL

i like the black stuff! what Bike is that?

That is my 2009 Buell XB12Scg with a few XB9SX parts. Last year of production for Buells was 2010, which was about a half year.

I can also change colors just about as easy as my XM.

^ really cool! didnt know they discontinued the buell brand - you should keep it!

Oh, I plan to! Bought it new when I worked for Harley, and it is paid for. After a few tweaks (some black powder coat, race ECM, custom LED taillight, HID, K&N, handlebars, gel seat) I have made it perfect.

Sweet, good work w/ the Cooper and congrats on your first XM!! If you're willing, I'd be interested in your handload recipe (assuming I can ever find powder)! Here's mine, also .204:

I much prefer a nice satin-finished walnut stock to this one (it's the "Phoenix" synthetic w/ the red speckle paint..), but this one was a textbook impulse buy. One evening, I ran out to Sports Authority for new running shoes and on a whim went next door to Sportsman's Warehouse. Got home w/ a new pair of shoes and a $1200 rifle...wife was not amused. I've never gotten around to shooting it, mostly because I haven't invested in a scope worthy of it..

I just set up my reloader during my last couple of off days and working up some loads might give me the excuse to get this one out to the range finally.. I had been trying to sell it a while back (to fund more Hinderers of course), might just hang onto it and turn it into a project gun..

Oh, and I thought the red frag scale seemed to fit w/ the red speckle so on it went ;) As an aside, it never ceases to amaze me how good just about ANY configuration of scale/standoff/pivot/screw/blade finish/ano for the XM looks. These things are just cool.
