Gunting again...

I'm at Oakridge and PC, aXed is at Lansdowne and FC Yuk is at Metrotown.

aXed is a crazy girl who chases teenagers out of the store when they ask dumb questions about swords. I laugh about that all the time.

That woman has more knicks and cuts that any person should have at one time!!! She injured her wrist from flicking her G10 Police too much...damn...I'm not gonna live for very long if I keep on blabbing stuff about her...

You'll get to meet her I'm sure...

Hey Steve,
Heard a lot about you from BOK. You should come by Metro sometime. I wouldn't mind seeing that special sheath for the gunting. I'm thinking maybe I do need one.

As for aXed, she is one of the biggest if not the biggest knife nut for a gurl. Very kewl gal. I get kinda scared sometimes standing close to her while she is flicking a knife open. I'll be especially scare when she gets that gunting.....Haha, aXed, if you read this, I am totally kidding.....Do not kill me.......We're still friends right??:)

I'll probably pop into HoK Metrotown sometime between the 11th and 15th of Aug. (days off) I may have to visit the Lansdowne store too. Haven't been there in awhile.

BTW, who got the Spydie catalog signed by Bram when I brought him into the Metrotown HOK? I forgot her name.

:D i come on at 10am before i head off to work to read these replies and what do i see????? ack!! ok, actually, i'm quite flattered by all your suttle and loving remarks (BOK and FC Yuk... start running:mad: ) j/k

hey steve, you're totally welcome to drop by Lansdowne, i hope i don't scare you away though cuz the stuff those two losers said about me... erm... the "chasing punks out of the store when they ask dumb sword q's" is correct, but i do not ALWAYS cut myself! read my signature BOK!

i would LOVE to see your "G"... can i touch it too? can i? can i? :D

as for you two numb nuts... i'll see you later ;)

aXed

Where were all of you each time I've been in Vancouver?
aXed..FC Yuk..BOK..
its getting to be a Gunting tribe????
OK next time Steve's having me up..I guess you are all coming to play @ the Gunting seminars?
Hot women & cold steel..good combination..
I have several of those in the Gunting world including my daughter..ROFL...

Women & steel go together rather well so guys..I'd watch out...

you're all lucky to live in Vancouver the bestest city in the World...

be safe

Bram

It does look like the Gunting pool is getting a little deeper here in Vancouver. We'll have to plan a guntaholic anonymous meeting soon.
Hi, my name's Vapor and I'm a guntaholic. :D

I'm still reliving Israel... boy do I lead a sheltered life. Can't wait for the next family reunion! My stick skills should be a hundred percent better (in case we have any more in the park tutorials). Bram you got me hooked, and Steve
hasn't helped any either.

Stay sharp

Vapor

Vapor sir..your Israeli certification papers are in Mr Tiny's package..He will give them to you..
OK?????

There are no plans for 4" or larger Gunting... I could fit an almost 4" in the original handle...OK 3 3/4....
but it would have to be a special run and I can't afford a special run like that right now...

But the Abaniko ( Rob Newton-Frank Olesen)and the Lapu Lapu ( Rob Simonich) are very cool and both knives come in either 5" & 7" inch fixed blade versions of the Gunting..
The ramp is just like the ramp on a Filpino straight blade Kris...

I have designed both a folding military Gunting and a Strider Gunting folder...
The Strider one is designed to cut through tanks..no word on when its being done by them...
We've been working on a few other customs...

Bob Lum appleseed Tanto Gunting folder..
Rob Patton Gunting Bowie..
Mick Strider Spec-Op fixed Blade Gunting
Owen Wood SS-damascus mammoth ivory Gunting folder
Mickey Yurco Fixed Blade Guntings, Gunting neck knives, Gunting miniatures....

see ya

Bram

Bram,
YOU,are going to break me!!You know I'm an addict, you know every NEW G I want. Why me???How about next time in Miami Beach,I just bring $$$ & buy from you!! Or maybe just pick up the Sushi tab for one year!(grin, no way I will EVER get you to get me to like fish bait)!
jim :D

Ohmygod...just how many G's or G related products am I going to have to buy? I'm a student!!! $$$ are limited!!!

BRAM - Last time you were in Vancouver I think I was a 'knife virgin'...I was clueless...didn't know too much the value of a knife or how to use it properly...

Hey next time you're here you can count me in on your seminars. In fact you can count aXed and FC Yuk in too!!

So when do you think that might be?:D

Well my order is due to arrive in the next week or so...actually sooner than expected...all depends on how long it takes to get through customs...shouldn't be a problem since it was done through work.

Wow, so many guntings..........damn, theres a collection for consideration. As for the seminars, Bram, the next time you're up here, I am in for sure. The last time you came up, I probably wasn't that into knives yet. Can't wait for my gunting to come in.

Hmmm so do i need to get a gunting of my own to join this party?
Hell why not. I have been buying knives at such a rate, another quality and very uniqe knife such as the gunting or any gunting would look really good in the collection. Heck, it would look even better on the belt.

Thanks Bram. The cert will be inserted into my resume with pride.:D
Thanks

Hey jjcoolay. The Gunting is a dynamic little tool. It seems that Bram has quite the following sprouting up in Vancouver. We'd love to have you "join the party".
I'm sure that in the next few months we may have
a get together.
Our man around town is steve2295. If your lucky
he'll show you how to serve desert with the Gunting.
Just ask him for an icecream cone.

Hey can anyone from HOK, tell me at what location I can get my Emerson sharpened?
Would be much appreciated.

Vapor

We do it at Oakridge on Friday mornings. It's best to bring it in sometime before that...maybe Thurday evening...our guy comes in really early Friday to sharpen...

I'd actually suggest taking it to Sean at 37th and Arbutus instead though. He'll do it in front of you and you can tell him exactly how you want it. HOK is good with the kitchen knives but for sporting there are better alternatives out there. I'll find the number for Sean and e-mail it to you.

Hey Steve,
So you'll be dropping by between 11 and 15th???
I'll be working the 14th and 15th. Be really kewl if I could see that sheath for the gunting.

Hey Eraser,
Metrotown does sharpening on Wednesday. Best to bring in the knives at tues or first thing Wed. However, I have to agree with BOK, Sean does the absolute best job on sporting. The best thing is that he doesn't take off very much metal at all.

OK..I hope to meet all of you very soon..Maybe with Shishir's people...Dan Elliot's people and all of you we have enough for Steve to bring me back up to Vancouver...
hmmm that would be very neat..
I'll show you gus Gunting & some Biomechanical slice n dice..
and some cool entries..

Vancouver,,land of coffee shops, salmon, Sushi & Dim Sum..How could one go wrong????

see ya

Bram

You know I'll be in line right behind Steve. It would be great to have you back in Vancouver Bram.

Just spent the last three hours being beat down by Shishir and his assistant instructor. I'm sure they could round up a few interested parties. I know he's looking forward to getting your tapes.
