Don't mean to interrupt, but I didn't want to start another thread on the Spydie forum to ask. I was wondering, are there any more seminars in the southeast US planned through the end of the year, or regular classes/clinics in FL (esp. with some empty hand)? I need to burn up my vacation days this year doing something useful, and would like a few days training. I can't find a JFJKD (studied it for a while a couple years ago) seminar anywhere close, and I missed out on the last seminar I saw mentioned here. I think it was a poster named Jody who hosted that one. Louisiana isn't a hotbed for MA training.

and New Orleans has several Modern Arnis clubs..i think @ Tulane..

We'll be doing a few 2 day seminars out of here very soon..
 
Thanks. Was John the one doing the pressure point KO's on the tapes (just got them last week :))? I did some serious back and forth running to BR for MMA training when I fought in the ring a few times, so that would be an easy trip. Even simpler than trying to get to Tulane. But I would like to check that out as well. I have Prof. Presas Modern Arnis book, but it didn't cover a lot. I didn't expect much from such a small book anyway. Just enough to give me an idea that I need to expand on. I still don't know how I'll get from centerline principle to press. points/destructions/gunting, but I didn't get much WC time in my training anyway.
 
If you do JFJKD you'll have no problem..Modern Arnis as a base still the way we do it covers JKD-WC...WC was my first art..
Obviously a good kickboxing base is a good start..
Yes..John does Pressure Points..no big deal..
He does Modern Arnis,Small Circle Ju Jitsu and Gunting stuff as well..
PLUS if you do JFJKD you do gunting stuff...trapping etc..
so no problemo..
be a good JKD man..check it out..take whats usefull for you..forget the rest..ROFL..

Hahaha, its not my fault.....Doesn't feel right just in my pocket so I'm gonna wait for the sheath first. When traing is done, for sure, it'll be my soul EDC.
 
Well you could have knife pockets on your pants like I do..makes life easier..
you could just put it in your pocket..HMMMMM thats an idea isn't it?
and yes you could wait for a holster..BUT what type?
Frank makes LOTS of holsters...
hmmm so many choices so few versions of the knife..

The class is filling up nicely. Only about 5-6 unconfirmed spots left. Anyone after that can place their name on a waiting list if they wish.

I'm here to prove that the Gunting doesn't work! There are no pressure points on my body, I feel no pain, joint locks don't work on me...

Hmmmm I'll admit the 'little lady' is a pretty feisty one. Got to see her really mad on a camping trip about a certain picture of some sort. Yeah I was pretty scared...seriously...you see that look on a persons face and you know you're in some serious trouble. The laugh was NOT worth it that time...

but sure pair me up with one of the 'not so tough guys' like Bram or Steve!!:D
