H&K 14715 AXIS (D2 blade) EDC alternative to 950 Rift?

I really want one of these HK blades but for some reason I am having a huge problem with the big Hk bill board on the blade. Is there a good way to get rid of that?

Also, anyone have the Adamas 275 and this Hk? Is the Adamas worth the extra coin?

Just a quick bump for this excellent knife. Received one about 1 month ago and IMO it's one of the best value BM ever. Some people compared this to 950 Rift and i think the dimensions and weight compares very well. One thing that baffles me is why is 908 Axis Stryker/950 Rift THAT much more expensive than 14715? Not to mention that 950 Rift doesn't even have skeletonized SS liners, which should be of further cost saving. Identical size, material, place of manufacturing etc...

Hell, i can even get a M390 710 for $170 now, which is $10 more than the other popular BM models. I just don't understand the pricing...
Benchmade may have to pay royalties to the designers for the Stryker, Rift and 710. The HK14715 was designed in-house, I believe.

Not really. You would have to strip the black coating and then acid etch and stonewash the blade.

Different animal. The Adamas is a tank with a bigger axis lock, stronger omega springs, thicker blade, thicker handle... You owe it to yourself to get both.

My HK is a beast-----but the blade shape is a little awkward for me-----keep in mind I've been using a BM 520 for 10 years now--so that might have something to do with it.

Thinking about getting a mini version of the HK just for S's and grins.

The Adamas, the Contego, the Loco and the HK14715 all come from the same pivot family.
All have a 7mm pivot, nice.
The HK is the little bro.
The HK has the same beefy pivot as the others, but not the same beefy axis bar.
The axis bar on the HK is the same size as the axis bar on the 710 or full size grip.

Fingered the Hk, the Adamas and the 810 Contego at Cabelas today. I have to say, I preferred the Contego out of the 3. The Hk was definitely nice for the money, the Adamas jus didn't feel that great in the hand. Only prob with the 810 was the scales felt a little flexxy and I haven't found anyone that makes dark earth/coyote scales for it yet.
