Hamon = Great Heat Treat?

I've also tested a couple to destruction. The W2 blade was surprisingly tough and
tougher than steels that I once thought tougher. Cut like a banshee also!

BTW, some of my best performing small cutters where torch HTed :cool:

One thing to consider about these types of blades in comparison to fully hardened blades is that if they are pushed to the point, under extreme conditions in the field and take a set, they usually can be bent back straight. On the other hand, if the blade snaps in the field, you are pretty much out of luck.
