We've gone through this exercise several times now with similar results. No one has had a G10 failure, while a number of FRP catastrophic failures are reported, almost always lock failures in FRP/no-liner designs. Then again, considering how poor and unpredictable the material properties of FRP are (particularly in moist environments) when compared to G10, that's not surprising. Why take the chance when G10 is that much better - and available in alternate attractive colors as well?
