Has Busse destroyed your interest in other fixed blades?

The epoxy coating holds up well to kydex. If you're chopping wirh it, you'll loose a lot more coating fast. Unlike a lot of coated blades, the coating on INFI blades is not really there for corrosion resistance. It allows less finishing work on the blades.

Grit in Kydex will scratch bare steel. It can scratch the coating too. On my users, this does not matter. Eventually, all my users get stripped anyway. I don't do any preventative maintenance and have never had rust issues.

If you want more "tests" ie destruction, look up NOSS on YouTube (bladetests)

He tests blades by chopping concrete, chopping metal, buttoning through metal pipes, etc..
Busse are king of destruction. Though watching him destroy then is tough!

This has probably been addressed a million times elsewhere, but why does it take Swamp Rat so long to update their stock/offerings? And all the Busse kin? Been waiting for them to reproduce the Rodent 7 but may not ever happen.

Well, I am waiting for the rat daddy to some out in an INFI LE version

A few weeks ago I had a shot at a grail, or so I thought. The knife was a Rick Hinderer custom field tac. I sold my hell razor and one of Hinderer XMs. I got the field tac and no matter how hard I tried to be excited I remained nonplus. While XMs and SAKs and a couple microtech otfs will likely remain the only folders that interest me (mainly the XM). But the field tac was sold this morning and it taught me that busses are the only fixed blades for me. Had to lose my hell razor to learn this lesson but now I know. Anyone else lose interest in other fixed blades or did I drink too much?

Honestly no :/ , I got my first busse recently and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it.

Another Sasquatch!!Wowza. This crew of hogs is relentless in its search for monster choppers.

With the O2W break, I've purchased a number of Fiddleback Forge and Adventure Sworn blades. Both companies make Gorgeous knives!

Not really for me. Maybe in the other brands that try to do the same nitch as Busse but there are other designs that I like that Busse doesn't do or if they have done something close you can't get a hold of one.
For the most part Busse fills anything I need but I do have a weakness for the BRKT Bravo line. Also really want to try the FK Northern lights line. CRK hollow handle is another that filled its own nitch, shame they discontinued it.
Folders are the thing I have a problem with right now. The 3.5 XM-18 stays in my pocket most of the time occasionally getting rotated for a Ritter Grip with Wilkins scales or a Spyderco Para Military. Its been a long haul on the folders but after many years collecting and using for me one of these three are perfection for whatever I need a folder for. Still waiting for a larger Spyderco frame lock Native with the top swedge added back to the blade.
