Well there is his dad Call Me Mitch and his older brother Son of a Mitch. And, if he was a filly instead of a colt he was gonna be named Mitchbetterhavemymoney but he was a colt and since we quote movies A LOT on this outfit he was Mitchy The Kid from City Slickers. His dad Call Me Mitch winning the World's Greatest Horseman:
Ah Mitchy the kid. Careful though Mitch's never gow up![]()

Horsewright Dave’s Gordo handled in mammoth tooth with a Damascus blade. I picked it up secondhand. Had tarnish and rust, but it cleaned up well. Must have been sitting in its sheath for a long time.
Pictured here with my Bailey Rodeo I got almost two decades ago while wrangling in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Has primarily been my dress hat, but didn’t see a lot of use after a number of years. I purchased it through a mail order catalog. Kinda always thought it was too much hat for me. Started life with a 4” brim. I cut it down to 3.5” and steamed and reshaped the crown.
My wife beaded the hat band. One of my most cherished gifts. Paired with my lucky ruffed grouse feathers.
Inspiration came from one of my favorite fish, brook trout. Took a long time doing it all by hand.Great combo.
Your wife did a great job on the hat band, very cool..
Cool as a cucumber sandwich DaveView attachment 2864793View attachment 2864795View attachment 2864797View attachment 2864798View attachment 2864800

My sister visited from WA for a week last Summer. About a month after she went back, I got a box in the mail with a hat in it. Evidently, she thinks I should be wearing a Stetson instead of my old ball caps. It's still in the closet, in the box. I don't know where I'd wear something that nice.I came here expecting pictures of knives and ball caps and left with a list of hats to research.
Don it with confidence and you can wear it anywhere. My sister visited from WA for a week last Summer. About a month after she went back, I got a box in the mail with a hat in it.
