Have you ever bought a knife because of youtube

It does just the opposite for me. I'll search for information on a knife I'm interested in and get so ticked off by the "expert" doing the review (whether fanboy of hater of the knife) that I turn off the computer and go to the park to stab a tree or two.

I forgot that Nutnfancy turned me on to the Juice S2. I have carried mine almost every single day since I got it 3 years ago...DUDE.

Cutlerylover reviewed a Sanrenmu 710. Called it the best Chinese made knife for the price you pay ($12-15). I bought one and have to agree. It has been my go to EDC for some time now. Check him out.

I did buy a Busse after watching a Knife Test Noss destruction video. Made me cringe every time he jammed the tip into wood and steel, and then worked it side to side, trying to break the tip. After all of the abuse he put it thru, I had to have one.

Never based solely off of a YouTube review but I have been introduced to models that I would've never otherwise known about that I later researched and ended up purchasing thanks to the info that YouTube helped to provide.
I found it to be such a useful tool in shopping for so many different things and in so many how to vids that I started my own channel so that I could help others see knives that they might be interested in that I already had, though I haven't posted much lately it did well for a while and I still enjoy looking at the stats to see how many views it gets daily( some guys get as many in 5 minutes ).
I enjoy sharing the new purchases and showing what has held up well to honest use and am very thankful to have been helpful to so many people-and for their kind emails and messages ( even for the occasional troll as they provide a good laugh ).
Some of you here would be very appreciated if you too started a channel, all of us knife nuts like to see what we're getting before we buy and with the constant changes to our collections the more info we can find the better.
I may be a pro when it comes to CRK or Microtech but if I decide to start collecting Case knives I'd be a noob, the first thing id do is hit the Internet and YouTube to learn what I could before starting; I imagine most of you do the same so I encourage all of you knowledgeable collectors to please share your experience with the rest of us here at the forum and at YouTube.
He may get a lot of flak but I've always appreciated nutnfancy, he puts a ton of work into his vids. There are many others but he stands out as one of the longest lasting as most fall by the wayside not long after starting.

My latest two knives were bought solely based on youtube videos. I saw both of them in shot show coverage and then I looked up some videos on those models when they were released. The ZT 0450 and the Pro-tech BR-1. What's with all the "not solely -- the videos just introduced me to it" statements? If you first saw it in a youtube video, thought "hey, that looks cool" and then bought it, didn't you buy it because you saw it in the video?

I watch a ton of knife reviews on YouTube. Most result in me not wanting to buy a specific knife, but every once in a while one will suck me in. One of my favorites is ApostleP. He's a no frills, ols school kind of guy. I watch nutnfancy from time to time, but end up annoyed at him by the end of the video.

Virtuvoice is definitely one of the reasons I picked up some Bark Rivers. Youtube is how I ended up getting into knives because before I just bought Benchmade's. I was looking for a good camping and backpacking knife and ended up getting a Mora Bushcrafter, than I watched some video's on the Fallknivens. Now it's Bussekin and Survive Knives. I still go on Youtube to watch the reviews before I purchase a knife.

Most reviewers on YT annoy me just from their reviewing format, with very little actual use and mostly just talking about a knife for hours on end (can't watch nutnfancy for that reason alone). However I've watched WeAllJuggleKnives the most with Jim Skelton next for eye candy purposes. I haven't bought any knives seen in a review on YT but I did go there to reassure me that the Spyderco Stretch was a knife I wanted to get. It uprooted the Delica in my EDC rotation, so much so that I sold the Delica, something I never thought I'd do.

I have, but in only one case, the knife was made out to be much much better than it really was. I got the knife and like it, but I did not see what he saw in it....

I have a Mora Companion Heavy Duty coming my way. I ordered it after viewing "Simon's Discoveries" video in which he does pull-ups after hammering it into a tree. Do I have a need to do pull-ups with a knife? Of course not, but it's cool to know I could, plus it was only an $18 impulse purchase.

Personal taste will always rule, but Nutnfancy has proven to be as informed as he is reasonable in supplementing my knife buying thought process. To each his own is my motto.

No. I have never bought anything after seen a youtube "review".
Buying a knife based on seeing an unknown person unpacking his latest buy is IMHO worthless.

nutnfancy has some good info on knives I am looking to buy. I don't think I ever bought a knife because I watch one of the videos.

When I want to see a knife close up in detail usually first thing I'll do is go to YouTube and watch a vid on it but I've never bought a knife cause I was wowed by someone's knife video.
