Hawaii Knife Life - daily use for work and play

Please rant away, this is your thread and these are real issues. Access to hunting, habitat loss, and herd stress are not unique issues but they do have unique effects depending on geography. I wish there were simple solutions. Are there lots of outsiders moving onto Molokai? I was under the impression that the island was famously unwelcome to non-natives (which I view as a good thing).

Molokai was/is known as having the highest amount of Hawaiians, second to Niihau. But being that this is still the US, citizens are free to purchase land here, as Hawaiians are free to purchase land in the other 49 states.

The issue, is that the natives are uniquely tied to the land and sea. It is a conundrum.

For example, Larry Ellison (Oracle) has purchased pretty much the entire island of Lanai. It is now his playground for the rich and famous. The locals can either work for him in the service industry, or leave.

Okay so super tangent...would you be able to buy and ship me some of these frickin chips? Not sure why in all their infinite wisdom they decided to disco them here in New England, these are AWESOME. Will reimburse with money or knives. Thanx much :)

Lol! They must be good!

I'll take a look around the local stores here on island. They may not be available here at the limited shopping we have.

If I ever get a chance to fly off-island I'll see what I can do.

Got to take of advantage of a few spare hours to go play this afternoon.

Set up a quick site for shade, and carried the H1 again.

A bit too big for sliding. Sent it back home, although we were tempted to cook this up.

Playing with knives is fun. Even when just waiting.

The Mora warhorse. This thing has seen some action. Tips a bit bent, but that's how it goes. This spare Becker tweener sheath works great for the Mora.

No big fish today, but that's cool.
