That's still a lot of words and a big ass picture that doesn't really change the situation ;)

You should not be moving the money around in a way that you can't refund the buyer immediately, until after the buyer has received the item. Looks like you did so before it even shipped. Lesson learned I hope!
Pretty sure that’s all been covered already here.

Easy, fella. Yes, I agree it is more efficient to leave the money in until you hear someone is happy but some people never get back to you to tell you they received it. It’s not like it’s a rule or something. If I’m getting a refund, I can wait the 2-3 extra days, if that fact is communicated to me. It’s not like the guy has a shady history here. Not everyone needs to be made out to be a crook or scoundrel. The guy apologized and offered an explanation, I don’t think he needs you raking him over the coals for asinine things like “length of his response”.
Well said Parstrooper06 I don’t think Hawkeye did anything wrong. Buyer is the one with the questionable feedback history. I’m not saying he’s salty over his bad marks and is looking for any reason to blast someone else ….well actually that’s exactly what I’m saying….all I know is all of this wasn’t necessary

Really he has my $240 since 11/24 with no shipment of knife or a refund issued. 1 of my negative feedbacks was from getting a knife stolen, that member was finally banned for stealing from another member. I just expect people to do what they say or contact me and explain up front not spend my $240.

His lack of communication for 6 days is not wrong?

Save the asinine comments for other areas of the forums.

Correct, with a little communication from the seller I doubt this thread would exist.

Regardless of what transpired to get here ,stay calm and don't let your emotions get the best of you. Give this a little more time to play out. You are certainly entitled to your refund, and I see no way you will not get it one way or the other. Either the seller will voluntarily give it to you or PP will get it for you, since you used G&S.
If I remember right the seller said he already authorized the refund, so if you need something to do, you can check with PP on it's status, and of course keep in communication with the seller.
best of luck getting this resolved

Nope, but thanks for asking. It’s a shame a couple knives listed for sale I would try to buy if I had the $240 back

Seller said it would be 3-5 days(imagine working days), but I don't know when the clock started and if he is past that yet.
It is his responsibility to keep you updated, I hope he is, but if not I would ask to be.
Do you have a claim made with PP? If not the time for that is approaching. You have plenty of time on your side(as far as being able to make a claim), but I am sure you don't want this to drag out.
Hopefully this will end soon

If the seller knew he did not ship the knife he knew the OP was not going to have received it yet and therefore should have ensured he would be able to cover the refund if the deal went south. WValtakis WValtakis is correct.

The bottom line is, the seller spent the money before even shipping the knife. Regardless of his feedback this is poor form. The buyer asked for a refund upon learning that the knife was damaged and unshipped and the refund should have been sent immediately from the paypal account used in the transaction.
King of the Cheese King of the Cheese i’m not sure where you got that the knife was sent before the seller spent the money but you apparently need to work on your reading comprehension skills. Both parties involved have stated that the knife was in fact never shipped thusly the seller should have been prepared to send a refund. It appears though that the seller spent the money prior to even shipping the knife as he clearly states that he only sells knives when he wants to buy something else.

Shady would have been mailing the knife to you without telling you about the detent ball falling out.

Printing a label doesn't mean anything when the package isn't received by the post office. If you were being scammed, I would have to print the label and then ship you a box with a rock inside of it or something. By me printing a label and not shipping, that's basically proof that you're not being scammed because that's literally me telling Paypal that I never actually shipped the package.
King of the Cheese King of the Cheese just to help you along here are some of the seller’s own words that he never shipped the knife but did spend the money.
