Hawkfan no shipment of knife, no refund

By my calculation it might be a day(possibly 2) yet before you get your refund(though it could be sooner). After that the seller needs to come up with a new excuse.
He should have been keeping you up on this and when to expect you money-this is his responsibility, and yet another screw up on his part.

Well don’t clutch your pearls too tightly on account of me. Look at the rating history for both parties.
King of the Cheese King of the Cheese are you that clueless or did you not read the thread anywhere where the seller stated he did not ship the knife and removed the money from the paypal account used?
Who cares what the OP’s feedback is- you are only as good as your last deal- OP has posted plenty of evidence that he asked for a refund and Hawkfan Hawkfan hasn’t given any proof that it was sent.
The OP’s 2 negative feedback are a moot point jn this transaction- he bought a knife and paid for it- it was never even shipped and Hawkfan Hawkfan spent the money.
It IS surprising and appalling that you are defending someone clearly and obviously in the wrong. I would never do business with you or the Hawkfan Hawkfan after this.

OK, so Hawkfan is a great seller, with excellent feedback, but very convoluted and complicated when it comes to giving a refund for a knife that was never sent. His issues about moving money around should not be a stress and burden to the buyer.
There should be no moving money around if he hadn’t even shipped the knife. Therein lies the problem. The money was not his to move around, spend, invest or whatever he may have done with it until the knife was in the buyers hands and the buyer was satisfied. In this instance he admittedly took the money from the paypal account that the OP paid into and put it elsewhere, before he even shipped the knife. Then he offered a refund via a service where the OP has no recourse to file a claim instead of immediately putting the money BACK into the paypal account OP used and issuing the refund.
If I were the OP I would be filing a claim right about now.
Although calemerson calemerson isn’t able to leave bad feedback fortunately this thread will be here for others to see and hopefully after Calemerson is made whole he does not edit the title or OP to remove the circumstances of this deal.

Well I have no knife I paid for on Nov 24 and no refund, but I did get a hey man I meant to send you a message on Nov 30 that the detent ball fell out after I ask about no tracking updates on the knife.
Hawkfan Hawkfan If calemerson paid for the knife on Nov. 24 and you didn’t even bother to ship it or communicate for 6 days, then offer a refund knowing you would have to shuffle money between 3 accounts (which should be instant anyways) because you immediately spent the $240 he sent (before you even sent a tracking number never mind even shipped the knife) it is mind boggling why anyone would do business with you. I have been on BFC for 20 years and have had only one instance where the guy took his sweet time shipping my knife after payment. That guy has a post in the Hall of Shame dedicated to him now- so you can see where long time members are suspicious of this kind of behavior.
My last two deals on BFC the payment was made at night, the knives were shipped the next day and i had one 2 days later and the other by the end of that week due to Thanksgiving. There is no reason why it is December 9th and calemerson calemerson has no knife and/or no refund when he paid two weeks ago.

I believe under the rules(that were changed some time ago),as explained to me, he is going to be able to leave feedback, but I wouldn't rush it
"5.If a deal did not happen, there is no iTrader Feedback to leave. Sorry if you were inconvenienced, but life is full of disappointments. As long as you're not out any items or money hasn't changed hands, move along. Consider improving the terms of your sales threads / read the sellers terms carefully in order to avoid this before buying.:

It's the money changing hands part that applies.

It has been two weeks and the OP has no knife and no refund and we have got nothing from the seller except long winded excuses. I think that it is perfectly acceptable to leave negative feedback at this point.

He could, but he may be better able to describe why after it has been fully sorted out. It won't matter to me, since I have read this thread, but he will need to get the description down to a line for feedback, and that is all many will see.
but this is all up to the OP, I am just suggesting
I doubt time will change the actual rating, but again-not up to me

I would just put the link to this thread in the negative feedback. The damage is done to Hawkfan Hawkfan - he hasn’t been on BF since Saturday. Hopefully calemerson calemerson has received his refund or does soon. This is unacceptable, inexcusable behavior on the part of the seller.

No refund yet at this point I am glad it was only $240.

file the PP claim along with your documentation , if you haven't already. They shouldn't have much trouble deciding in your favor, with him admitting he never sent it out.
The time of calmly waiting has past. Sorry I ever recommended it, but it seemed like good advice at the time.
what a PITA

At this point I suspect that the lack of a refund is purposeful and perhaps retaliatory against you for even starting this thread. Like others have already said, a PayPal claim may be your best and only recourse.
I’m starting to suspect that is the case. 3 days was all he needed to put this to bed. He clearly doesn’t care to put the refund through at this point.

Time for a PayPal claim and negative feedback.
