He broke them all

***** world we live in ! People will break their arms on you tube for one Like and subscrube 🤣
Just don't tell me you watched to the end this ..............................😀

Excuse me sir, I'd like to clutch my pearls with faux outrage in peace, thankyouverymuch.
OK.... now that's funny! Almost spewed my coffee on that one.

TheArab TheArab , if it goes like it has in this thread it is all in good fun. Haven't seen one personal attack yet! Maybe over the years the sheer stupidity of some of the videos posted simply to get eyeballs to generate some income has numbed us all a bit.

I always thought the joke was on the people that thumped their chest and banged their fists with outrage and then linked to (NOSS's or for that matter, anyone else's) the videos so others could join the indignation. Really, generating a couple of bucks and being a "star" of some sort is what they are after isn't it? Any video that doesn't meet the herd litmus test here works like a champ to get attention to the video and question and then plenty of eyeballs to generate a few bucks.

I sincerely, truly doubt any of those "test" guys give a fig about cutlery on any level. No doubt they enjoy their 5 minutes of attention that they get (certainly wouldn't call it fame!) when they get some attention to their videos. To me this guy is more like the bear on a tricycle, just entertainment.

A couple of NOSS's old videos are easily found. I watched a few of them and it first thought he believed he was actually doing some good work testing plates. But he wound up on a couple of different venues away from the knife community and kept his mask and that leather apron that he wore on occasion on during the interview and I realized the joke was really on all of us.

Correct! Some are unsharpened prybars! 😁
Busse is my jam, baby I'm goin butter yo bread! (You know what that is from?) 🤣

But seriously though, busse does have some .350 thou pry bar type knives, they also have extremely useable robust knives that are not pry bars.

Hi,

I know that post was mocking me, but it's fine, I have thick skin.

I was in disbelief watching the video, then came on here & linked to it. I just really dislike such reviews, but most importantly, many apparently want them to continue. To each their own.

It's all good brothers/sisters.

Glad so many agree. Imagine the cost of some of these higher end makes and models down the road! Don't think many of us would try stupid crap with our expensive Emersons, Benchmades, or Micros. Double sure I would not with my 66 made Puma after seeing what a mint condition one will bring on Flea Bay.

I'll bet this joker also likes to watch NASCAR for the wrecks...
(But then again: who doesn't??)

& the mask & the gas mask in other vids, it's a little freaky.

Anyway, it seems I may have made a mistake sharing it here, my reply to M midnight flyer is awaiting approval by a mod.

I apologize if it was a bad idea to share, I didn't know the history.

You can't please everyone. Start the threads you want to participate in.

I couldn't stand to watch the entire vid, but skipping ahead every few minutes, it's clear this gerber had a pretty good ht for abuse

I don't know how much value people put in that aspect, but if destruction resistance is your main criteria, you'll end up with 3cr13 and 1075 at the top of your list...
I dare say, most bf members understand this and still prefer steel with better edge retention :)
People get weird about knife use.

Some people use knives to destruction. And don't need the edge or longevity.

I have that option in case I need to beat my way on to the roof to avoid a flood. So cheap knife that is pretty staunch is a perfect option. Then combine that with a SAK. And I am sorted.

My method is a folding knife really does most cutting tasks. Simple as that. So the fixed knife can be a dedicated wrecking style knife.

No, no... I do not believe you were being mocked. It was just a little fun comment about how thin skinned some folks around here can be. That's all I didn't see it as you be mocked or made fun of at all. unwisefool unwisefool has been here a long time and was just having a little bit of fun with the more sensitive guys here.

Watched this guy test/review a ColdSteel 4Max and could not believe what kind of abuse it handled. I am all for using a knife as intended but as long as manufactures keep marketing things as "hard use" or overbuilt these tests are fine by me. Its not like the guy is doing this to slipjoints or opinnels.

There are a bunch of channels out there where knives are tested to the breaking point for the sheer joy of it and to show just what they can take. Some are valuable tests to debunk opinions about how weak something is, like a destruction video Zach's Stuff did with a Benchmade Bugout that was amazing. Some are pretty up front about the fact that they're doing a destruction test, like Dutch Bushcraft Boys shooting knives with a rifle (which most will agree doesn't constitute normal use) and others act like they're realistically testing it: like someone I saw using a Benchmade Saddle Mountain Skinner for batoning and as a chisel. This one guy had an intro that made him sound like a hunter, so I'm thinking he's going to show how well this knife is at processing game, but then proceeds to break the tip after driving it into a tree like a spike and repeatedly torquing the handle sideways, repeatedly complaining about how breakable the tip of a skinning knife is...

Good Knife Destruction Testing

Bad Knife Testing

Great Parody of Knife Testing Videos

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to make a sandwich with a splitting maul. :)

NOSS... Is that you??!!?? Son of NOSS??

This guy is far from original. NOSS was someone that all here absolutely loved to hate a few years ago, and then a Russian knife beater came along and really wailed on folders, concentrating on spine whacking as a test.

NOSS was so controversial here and caused so much outrage and infighting the mods closed most of the threads that had his "tests" on them, and the debates on the validity of his "tests" were absolutely nasty. His videos were pulled from YouTube, put back, and there for a while when someone here would rediscover them the firestorm of indignance would start all over. The difference with NOSS and his tests though was that he would destroy better knives, some high end cutlery, not something like a Strongarm.

Can't wait to see if this guy can generate that much vitriol and heartburn about "valid testing", "real world testing" and all the attacks on one another here. It should be pretty nasty; folks here didn't even like the Project Farm guy's somewhat innocuous tests and didn't do any of the circus antics this guy did.

Gettin'' the popcorn ready...
I remember his videos. I wonder wth happened to him he seems to have disappeared altogether.
