Hello Old Friend, 710 content..

I have to send my 710 in because the blade is hitting the backspacer. I was wondering if I ask them if they would put the deep carry pocket clips on mine that you have pictured?

Those are BM pocket clips, right? Will they swap mine out if I ask?

Yes, they are BM deep carry pocket clips for the 810 Contego.
From what I've read, it depends on which person at the factory does the service on your knife.
All I did to get these clips, was e-mail Benchmade, explaining what I wanted them for.
Received them about a week later.

The 710 M2 is my second Benchmade after the 705.

I had two BM 710 M4's but sold them as I like the M2 steel better.

I also sold most of my Spyderco special steels but kept the Manix S90V which I got on the initial run.

The BM 710 M2 and Spyderco S90V are my two EDC knives and I could not be more pleased.

Love my 710 D2 blade. First quality knife I have bought an wonder why it took me this long. Barrel studs are on the way to add a little more style.

It's been around a long time. If I remember, it was the first one to use the Axis lock. I wonder how many they still sell, and what makes it such a timeless piece? I wonder if it will be one of those that remains forever?
A really awesome knife for sure.

To me, the 710 is to BM what the milli is to spyderco, its the quintessential larger BM, even over the 275.

Aftermarket, or you got BM to send them to you?!

Yes, and both would be on my short list of knives that every knife fan should own.

The 710HS was the first Benchmade I ever saw; was at a client's home. I picked it up and was instantly infected. I now own five of these and that's not enough. Do I have a problem? Nope...I love this model.

Had a D2, sold it, an M390, traded it. Ive paid for my sins. I have a -3 on the way. I am most stoked. One of the best folders ever, period. I also have a Mili Cruwear on the way as well. Will make my first Military. I will hold the "shoot out". As nice as Im expecting the Mili to be....I already know the attributes of the McHenry Williams masterpiece.
We'll see how the Spyder fairs...tall order.

Nice brace of 710's there jkarp. Seems you understand well.

My first 710, from just after the legal "first production" run, was a black ATS-34 which I still have. My favorite bar none, and I've had most of the variations, is a 710HS (M2).

What does the HS stand for? I've never seen that one before.

Wish list : a new limited edition 710 with Lightning Strike CF and S90V.

If only this existed.

I'm with you all the way.
M2 is the absolute best!
That includes the 710, 552 & 558
Too bad it's no longer used by BM.

Aftermarket....they should be here next week. Asked benchmade for one of the deep pocket clips(would even pay). Time will tell.

I'm curious as to what attributes of the M2 make it so liked? Had a chance to buy one but passed.

Guess I should be happy with D2 and M390 but now I'm wondering.

Thx.

Jkarp, what is that bottom one. Never seen one like that.

The 710 is nothing short a badass. I would love to see BM do something really stupid crazy, like make a 710 in K390, or Cruwear, or 3V, or one of the seriously high wear steels. Like all the good ones, I'd buy 3 at least. 1 to use, and 2 or 3 for the pile, to be used at a later date. LOL

I really love BM, and would really like to see them clear up the craziness, that is going on.

The bottom limited model 710-02 was made a number of years ago, along with a matching and very hard to find 705 in the same scheme. The scales are gray anno'd T6 and black G-10 inserts, and this came in a satin lined clamshell case.

Long gone. Old pic. Traded. ( for new 800M2HS, in safe as I type, dont feel to bad for me.) My favorite all time 710 next to the M2 version. (and that -101 Gold) I will be looking for another.

My 710 is my favorite knife. It's in M390 with the rounded spine but it's not marked as a limited run. The box is marked 710-1.

Anyone know where this 710 came from?

Dealer exclusive Knifeworks run; (not Limited) beautiful example of the 710. They sold out quickly.
