HELP... Looking for a new gun

Ok last suggestion from me but I’ll definitely be checking back on this thread for ideas…

This is the Marlin model 795. Semi-auto .22LR. I got it for my son after LOTS of research online. It’s less expensive and generally lighter weight and more accurate out of the box than most Ruger 10/22s which is why I chose it.

This one has a Weaver 3-9 scope and is probably the most accurate firearm in my safe.

I went for the Marlin xt-22 in 22wmr. Just using iron sights, it's protected my chickens and turkeys from coyotes and feral cats like a dream! Affordable to buy, shoot, and accurate enough to kill predators at 100 yards with iron sights!

Ever head of Robinson Armament? They're a great little American company out in Utah that builds bolt driven AR/AK hybrids. Very reliable and durable and easy to swap barrels and calibers. They remind me a lot of Busse Combat!

I'll also say for Garth or anyone really, if you want an incredible 1911 for the money, give Bul Armory a try. They recently had a price increase but, still yet they are crazy good for the money. My Govt 1911 was $895 shipped I think? And, when I first fired it, I couldn't believe it. The action was as actually smoother than any other action I've had save for a Sig German MasterShop X5 and, the trigger broke creep free at 3 pounds and the sights were dead nutz on. She's so easy to shoot. I dunno, maybe I just got lucky with that one. That's one 45 Auto ill never sell

Man If I had the coin - I'd get a sig 55something from JDI.

Impractical. Insanely expensive. But I mean come onnnn.

Been looking at Custom Heavy Barrel Mini 14s. I have mini 14s but not anything custom. And I do love me some heavy barrels.

Of course the longer this thread goes, the more ideas I get.

Garth
If you are gonna do a custom mini 14 then make one in 300 black out. That's what I would do.

Here's another option, Garth. Maybe a long range build. I had been wanting to put together another one recently and finally finished. Haven't shot it yet. Savage 110 with an MDT Oryx chassis.

On the handgun side, I had wanted a nice shooter in 9mm for possible competition but didn't want to fork out the bacon for one of those crazy priced high end models. So I went with a CZ.

Lifetime warranty, ability to withstand tons of abuse. And one of the most impressive homicides I worked was with a hi-point. Granted I’m sure it was the luckiest (loosely use of that term) shot, a single shot from a moving vehicle at a running target approximately 70-80 yards yielded a dome slap.

No gonna lie, I have one in the safe…….

Cool thread!
