My recommendation is Shirogorov.

I've also heard Thorburn makes a fantastic flipper. Some of the new Reate's look nice as well, and I've heard they are good quality.

If I have a grand to spare right away, I would buy a newer Hinderer (e.g., no choil m390), a ZT 0920 or a ZT 0095 black s90v, and a Spyderco KW exclusive s90/ti/cf Military.
