Help Support BladeForums.com - Auctions & Donations

Looks like there are some great pieces for a worthy cause.

When will the donated items be put up on eBay?

I'm still working on various images. There is some really sweet stuff here getting ready to go up from people all over.

spark.... if you would like i can give you some of my art peices..... to sell or auction off..... have a look at www.valleytinworks.com look at the art peices and mirrors.... as they are easy to ship.

I would hope you guys are talking off-list about coordinating the auctioning of these art pieces and mirrors for the BF effort. Craftsmanship and aesthetics of works on this Web-site are beautiful:) . Really a good idea and generous donation if you're considering expanding the auction's items to not-just-knives. (Though the Busse pieces are also works of art, no question there. Extraordinary. )

Here's a very cool Busse Custom Shop Steel Heart E Variant. It features a 7.5" gently recurved blade with a double cut non-glare finish. The overall leangth is 13.25". The handles are hand shaped from Busse Combat's exclusive Snake Skin canvas micarta.

This blade is on its way to Spark for the BLADEFORUMS benefit auction!!!

Good luck to all who choose to participate in these auctions and seize the opportunity to support Bladeforums in the process!

Oh mama! I hope I didn't miss out on this one. Please tell me the auctions haven't started yet!

holy geez, i will never win that, but it is frookin' gorgeous! eager to see the auctions, thanks to everyone that has and will donate!

Very cool -- I'll try to get something put together ASAP between orders.

I once did a lot of volunteer work for a local United Way Chapter, and once a year they'd hold a big auction (local cable TV) and businesses and regular people around town would donate all sorts of interesting items as well as SERVICES.

For example, a graphic artist might 'donate' a voucher for a logo design - i.e. they would design a logo for free for whoever won the auction.

There is talant in the BF community, this could take on many forms:
-Someone could 'donate' a custom kydex sheath built for the auction winner.
-Someone could do some sort of "pimp" job on a production knife.
-Refinishing, rehandling, polishing, grinding, reprofiling, leatherwork, moving clips... blah, blah, blah
...even things non-knife-related. Anyone make T-shirts, cups, etc with logos on them? Design websites?

OBVIOUSLY, this couldn't be done on ebay. We'd have to have a forum for it.

Just an idea.

There's a lot of great stuff we've received so far. Coming up soon will be:
Busse Steel Heart E Variant
4 items from Swamp Rat
3 items from SOG Knives
4 Spyderco items from an anonymous donor
1 Customized Spyderco knife from Steve Rice
1 Himilayan Imports Kuk
1 Rob Simonich Mid-Tech Military Urban Raven (from me, I've had this for a while in the shop, it's one of his original models)
and some promised items from other manufacturers / makers.

I'm thankful for each and every one, plus all the support we've gotten from people who've gotten paying memberships as well.

Hey Spark, I'm just getting over the Blade Show. I'll try to get something up to you next week.

Bobby

The first auction is over and I have won!

Once I've paid for it, I will be donating he knife back so it will be auctioned again. When Spark will put it back up will be up to him.
