Help Support BladeForums.com - Auctions & Donations

That is a question a lot of us have wondered about A.G.

Good question though and maybe we'll get an answer from someone in the know this time. I think it was back in Oct. 06 when I last asked.

hello hello hello is ther anybody out there?

just nod if you can hear me!

is there anyone at home?

As I mentioned in the previous thread on this subject, I'll donate a nature photography print (click on my signature to see the sort of stuff I'm talking about) if you are accepting non-knife donations.

Outstanding work. Mike, where are the purchase prices on your website?

I have a bunch of knives, and a sword(!) in for auction. Really I have no one to blame for their not being up and running except for myself. I'll try to get some more auctions going when possible - they are all still sitting here on my desk waiting to go. The other Busse will be up, as well as the knives from Spyderco, SOG, Albion, the customs, the HI Kuk and others.

Is there going to be some sort of big announcement when these are up? Albion piece... hmmmm :)

Instead of ebay auctions, why not have an auction right here? No worries about bidding on the wrong knife or not seeing a certain knife you might have heard about. I would be glad to set up a website just for this purpose through my internet provider. I have a knife that I just made and plan on donating but I prefer not having my knives sold on ebay for personal reasons. If it is done this way, at least true knife lovers will be the winners and not people looking for quick turnarounds just to make money.

Any word on when this is going to happen... it's almost a year since ppl started donating stuff.... I would feel insulted if a knife I donated for a auction had sat and collected dust for a year....

I think it's crazy for manufacturers not to donate to this site. I alone bought 11 knives (most from Benchmade) due to the information on this site in the past two months.

And I have earmarked for the next weeks and months about 20 more from Spyderco. Kershaw, Busse, Ontario, CRKT, Chris Reeves and on and on.... for years to come say about a 200 knives in all. ALL BECAUSE OF THIS BEAUTIFUL WEBSITE, and I am only one customer.

It would be rude for the companies not to give considerable donations to this website. They maka a hell of a lot of money from it.
