Well theres an obsessive amount of half naked men posted, and crickets are normally the outcome lmao

snark IS low.
finally got some knife work in this evening. phew.

Ty RB!
I got a new MEST, a 10x7, and an Esbit alcohol stove in today. I'm gonna try and break em in this weekend.

So here's my haul from today. Everything except the Stanley Camp Cook Set came from Home Depot where I had a gift card so total price out of pocket for the day: $16 :)

Firm Grip gloves, a dremel (not a very nice one, hopefully it will make it through a few Becker mods ;)), a set of various attachments for the Dremel, and a Stanley Camp Cook Set.

Already modded the lid on the Stanley pot with a split ring, replaced the cheap plastic tab that I have heard can melt on you.

My Primus Classic Trail Stove fits inside perfect! Very glad about that. In fact there is room for a bandana and maybe my cooking oil and seasoning kit. I'll have to check that out tomorrow.

And here's what I'm drinking tonight:

It's a re-release of a pale ale that hasn't been brewed in 30 years, a collaboration with Sam Adams. Tasty stuff.

The bottle cap is pretty neat :)

Awesome haul and the beer looks great!

Need a new dremel myself, old one died prolly 6 months back. Was all set to get one of the newer ones with all the attachment guides, the dremel 4000-6/50, for 119 bucks and it was originally like 200-250 but the next morning the price went up to 140 and i been waiting since for it to go back down.

This one was pretty cheap and is probably a POS but I figure I will try it out and if I feel it is useful to have around I will get a nicer one after this one kicks the bucket.

Its a good plan you have, i dont "need" mine often but when i do its a very handy tool to have.

Anybody use the MSR Stowaway pots? Im lookin at either the 1.1 or the 1.6 as my primary backpacking pot. There is usually 2 grownups and 2 small kids(3 and 7 years old). We mostly do day hikes, but occasionally we do overnighters.

Congrats on gold bsmith!

I like the look of that stanley pot there RB, where did you get it from? I could use something like that.

Pi day! Possession with intent?

I have the 1.1 and I am pretty sure Tradewater has the same one as well. Great pot, works very nicely for a variety of things. Not sure about the bigger one, or using one for that many people, but they are rock solid, clean up easy, and the handle locks over the lid making for some great storage possibilities. The sea to summit x-bowl (original, not the large) fits inside the 1.1 version perfectly, and you could easily fit 4 inside there. Good luck.

Also, in on page 10. Fashionably late? Check. ;)
