Still in the shop right now, work work work. Just stepped out to take a piss, its raining AND snowing at the same time. I have never seen nor heard of this. Very strange. That is all, back to work. Gentleman.

That's what I call multi-tasking. Peeing and typing at the same time.

Really screwed up my ankle earlier. It wasn't bad then but now my toe is twitching and I can't stand on my right foot...

I had a knockoff I bought in Cali before I had ever heard of a glacier mug. I used it a lot up until it was stolen. Then I replaced it with a GSI. GSI felt a lot more sturdy. Heavier gauge steel maybe.

this one looks/feels like the same gauge steel.
fraction of a mm larger in diameter than my GSI
rolled lip is slightly wider as well
the spot welds are smaller and in different places on the bracket -- so it's not "the same" mug, but it's a pretty decent copy.

Made roasted red pepper turkey meatball sandwiches for dinner tonight. Stuffed!

Holy crap Bowie, that looks awesome.

I just saw a local place in Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I've gotta go check that place out.

good lord, you people have been busy... computer is down for a couple days and I lose 10 pages!

Hey Daizee, might want to avoid the Black Sea in your new ventures. :). Seems they let loose some sharks with frikken laser beams on their heads.

I bet they did it on porpoise!
(don't be crabby, I haddock say it)

the shuttle shift has an adjustment that you have to crack the thing in half to get to - but it was loose enough I had to use the FEL to roll it backwards a bit before it would go into reverse.
also had a field rat try to nest under the instrument cluster, so they rewired that -- which means I can now use the key to turn it off rather than the manual kill that shuts off the fuel pump.
total bill under $500 -- I was pleasantly surprised, as the first dealership I talked to told me I had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if there was any adjustment for the shifter -- it was obviously going to be a bent synchro requiring a complete tranny rebuild.

as much as I love Linux, and have for a loooong time...
This week Ubuntu sent me an update that gave my machine kernel panics (GPU lockups actually, I think), and the damn tools don't offer good rollback features. Or the packages were no longer available...??
So.. decided to roll forward to 12.10 instead of fixing 12.04.1

Apparently I had one bad package and the installer failed to install any of the new versions of all my non-default packages...
And then to add injury to insult, it blew away /usr/local too. That's effing sacred, yo.
So I'll be looking for a new distribution once I have time to waste screwing with my computer again.

In other news, I got a pair of short spec-ops sheaths in the mail today.
They seem very well-made and full of features.
The short is a bit big for the sheath I had in mind, but it fits the BK2 really well, and oh.... it's calling for a BK10, isn't it.

that looks killer, do tell....

Ground turkey, diced roasted red bell pepper, garlic, onion, shredded parmesan, eggs, breadcrumbs, fresh basil and fresh parsley with some dried oregano and fresh cracked black pepper. Seared then oven baked, finished in a homemade marinara sauce. I make big meatballs then cut them in half so they sit on those sourdough rolls nice. All topped with slices of mozarella and a sprinkle of parmesan then finished in the oven to melt the cheese and toast the rolls. Mine also had some extra red pepper flakes on top. Came out great!
