Hahaha!!! That comic made me laugh my a** off. The reason I was asking about jQuery and javascript is I actually just finished a site for an inlaw, a resume site. Just for practice and fun my dad had me use javascript to showhide between the main page and an iframe we used to insert the 'client's' resume. I believe my dad even told me he normally would have used jQuery but he wanted me to learn the javascript way first. Just wondering if we had any hardcore web designers on here who would know how common the need of this code is. I will want to learn it either way.

Your comic hit home with me because this 'client' isn't actually even paying me I made the site as a favor. First I did the color scheme and he said it should be less dark and more of a royal blue, I made it royal blue like he asked against my advisement and it looked like s*** with the pictures inserted, so we changed it back. Then I finally finished his site and he emails me that he was thinking about adding one more tab with one more page, I said sure that's pretty easy. Then he sends me a big word document with logos and multiple sections and says 'I want you to make each section within the document it's own page that links from the first tab with a company logo as the button for each page link". So you want me to do many many more hours of work to your free site instead of the couple hours I said I had time for? Told him sorry, got other projects. Taking over a paying account next week actually.

the jQuery for something like that is $("#id of div").toggle();

yup. oatmeal rocks. see the other comics.

sometimes you just have to fire mittens, and move on :D

Personally, I think it's a great looking knife. Good reviews too. I really like the handle.

I just read through and watched a dozen reviews on it. Now I want one! Thanks a bunch friend lol
I think I'm gonna get it when the funds become available. Hell, I might sell some of my stuff off just to get it. It's been on the radar for some time now. I like that it has a 5" handle, among most other things about it.

I'll be so glad when they get this forum fixed. It either lags, or doesn't work at all.

Snow Peak Kettle #1.

The GWP barely got it up to a boil. Not sure it would make it in cold weather and wind.
May have to pick up one of Bill's Solo II's for this kettle.

re: lag
there's a bunch of warning crap in my browser console.
I refuse to debug it.

so, I ordered some REALLY cheap stainless mugs right before Wally started carrying the GSI clone.
when they came in, the handle on 1 was not attached at the top -- so I pulled it the rest of the way off -- I'm going to make a stove base out of it.
it's the perfect size to go between the GSI and Stanley pot -- like almost an airtight fit on the stanley.
tomorrow evening I dig out the dremel cutoff wheel and a step drill and go to work.

I got the GSI .6L cup today - onsale online at some place somewhere.

Went with a steak for supper. Rib eye topped with caramelized onions, bacon, and Bleu cheese. Had asparagus on the side, and since I was at an Italian place no potatoes so I got fet Alfredo.

Was posting from my tablet while at work... Fail!

Just got home from work. The hours suck, but when you realize "yes I've been awake now for 20 hours, I have been working for 17 of those hours... I made $700 today, in one day" it totally makes it worth it!

As a bonus, NONE of my patients died today! That makes today better than my entire last two weeks where I've been not working many hours, and have had patients die.
