Here's A Sneak Peek At The "Team Gemini" 7 . . . . .

I run into choil haters on every knife forum. I use knives all the time, and the choil has never been a problem for me.

and I've never found a choil I liked after experiencing it in extended use

If I had the extra money I'd buy one just to have it, because it is really beautiful looking (to me). I'm always hoping for a repeat of the tank buster options.

on a knife this size, I have no problem with the choil. I use the ones on my larger knives occasionally, and more importantly I don't ever really find them getting in the way.

On small knives, I agree with you and rarely meet a choil I like, but on the big guys they are alright.

I've never had a problem with the choil's on the steal heart and up sized knives (since that part of the edge almost never gets used), but that doesn't mean I like them :p

now, make it a gemini 12 (.5" longer then a nmfbm) and my ears'll really perk up.

I opened this thread assuming that Gemini referred to the twins. What a knockout blade! I would seriously love to see what some other handle materials look like in that configuration. Can't wait to get one of these in my hands.

I think it looks awesome, but I think the butt end is a little to wide for my taste.

now all you have to do is make one of the talon holes sideways, and big enough to fit over a rifle barrel, with a latch on the bottom of it, so I can make it my bayonet on my rifles.

Infi bayonet anyone??????

I really like the choil. IMO it's better than the perfect half circle of other big Busse's.

:) tastes are interesting aren't they...

I also think, visually and proportionally speaking, the fuller ought to be 1/4" shorter on each end - it looks too crowded the way it is (toward the ends of the fuller, where it's nearer the tip and the logo), IMO.

the logo/makers-mark looks great there, btw.

Jerry,
Don't listen to those 'Fuller Haters!' ;) Keep this Busse in the classic look.

I don't think I would buy it even in B.C... that thing puts the UGH! in ugly. Yikes.

The handle is interesting though - I'm curious to see if it makes its way onto any other new designs. Hopefully without the double talon holed guards.

(also, I haven't commented much because I was moving from GA to CO so have been slightly busy. Only got internet access back in the hotel room today, and am trying to find a house to rent by the end of the week. Wee.)

I think you and I are alone here not liking the knife at all. The double talon holes make me cringe. I don't even like one talon hole. I'd buy a shiva rex and a sus scrofa first. Some people will love it though.

LOL.

Honestly, without the double talon holes it could be an alright looking design, but the handle to me makes me feel drunk looking at it. Not happy drunk, but the kind of drunk when you wake up in the middle of the night, still dizzy and you're half asleep and drunk. There's just something not right about it. That said, I do see the collectability in the knife, and a lot of Hogs will suck up every single item Busse puts out. If you got rid of the talon holes, and tweaked the handle a bit, I think it could be a very cool design. That said, it'd be a cool design that hangs on my wall. I try to avoid silently dispatching sentries with a knife, and combat knife fighting in general. I don't have enough money to spend on designs that I would do nothing but look at, if that was the case i'd just buy a picture of one.

I'll be one of those HOGs suckin' these up. :) Honestly, although I like it as is, if I were to put one to use I'd probably request 2 minor mods... have the guard trimmed down on the spine side and sub in some micarta handles...but only because I don't run around knife fighting either, LOL. But I'll take a few for the collection as it looks now for sure. It has my attention because it has that Busse old school style.:thumbup:

For it's intended use, the Military etc it is very well designed as a fighter. :)

The only thing I would change would be to put a sharpened swedge on it so it would slip through clothes and flesh a little easier. :D

What can I say, I am an EX Marine Grunt. LOL :D

YOWZA!!!!!. . . . MM doesn't like a new design and publicly declares that he won't be buying one, even if it is offered in Bama Clay?. . .. . . .. . . .
