HG55 Appreciation Thread ***PIC HEAVY...ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!***

Icky,

Got it with a Kydex that I'm not a fan of, carry it on my kit in a Spec-Ops Short sheath. It'll fit if you shove it hard enough. Gonna get Mark Condo to make a leather set of pants to carry around the house.

I'm using the spec ops short with mine. It works well but I want some leather made for mine as well.

I've had my 55 for a couple of months now and it immediately became one of my favorite knives. I made two pancake sheaths for it, one for myself and one for sale (it's available).

Since then I have been wanting to come up with a design that was special for this knife and one night after following this thread and seeing how varied the use of it is, I came up with a design that I thought was fitting of the 55's versatility. This is a prototype and some refinements will be made on the final products. I am also planning to offer it for other mid-sized Busse's but figured I'd show it to the 55 loyalists first.

Basically one sheath body can be switched in seconds from mid-carry, slight drop carry and full drop carry on a swinger. With any of these positions you can add a firesteel loop in place of the spacer. The purpose of the spacer is to keep the loops from putting pressure on the sheath and making the knife hard to draw. The firesteel loop is reversible so the steel can be positioned on either side of the sheath.

Let me know what you think, thanks!

Nice vantage point, za!

However, don't forget INFI is a superconductor!

I'll be watching the nightly news for any blackouts along the Atlantic seaboard...

The HogGrade55, truly, is a very unique model in terms of aesthetics, carry, and ergonomics!

Me too! I missed one on the exchange yesterday, it sold in 2 minutes.

Yeah, and that was about 90 seconds longer than I figured it would last. ;)

I think value priced BOSS  INFI is a great economic barometer in the pandemic...

For instance, if another HG55 rig as nice as that one ever sits on the Exchange for more than, say, around 8 minutes or longer--- then ya better head for the hills with as much TP as yer backpack can hold! :p

...till then, NO REGRETS! :D
