Hide Away Knives?

fenix outfitters is a dealer for HAKs and carry a supply in stock. The owner is a standup guy and will only sell what he has in stock.

This is the shipping information that he sent me after he said my order shipped.

Is this the same shipping details that he sent you JB12?
If it is, check the customs declare number and see if it's the same as yours.

He writes,
"Let me know how you like the knife.

I swap for size and fit issues. HideAway fit is critical. I picked what I think is your perfect size - now I have all sizes. I swap for size and fit by sending a new knife with a prepaid mailer to return the old knife.

I got my HAK in today. It was shipped on the day William said he shipped it.
Was shipped priority mail international which took longer then expected for some reason.
Communication was great, my emails were responded too within 2 hrs.

The new HAK'S are great. Fit and finish is perfect, the edge is much sharper and better ground then the last one I had.

Overall a very pleasant experience in my book.

Do you have a pic? Is it the new claw with the stripes?

No, I picked up a stripped straight. He just got 2,000 in he was sayin.
They slightly changed the sheath and there is no "FS" logo on the knife like on the last HAK I had.
I also noticed that the steel takes and maintains an edge much better then my last one. I really think the heat treat is much better on these ones.
I removed and re-wrapped the para cord just to check out the rest of the coating. So if the para cord looks like crap that's why.
The DLC coating is flawless and looks great IMHO.

I'm definitely going to buy another one of these soon for a back up.

Anyways here's a few pic's for you.

I did eventually receive my HAK after about 6 weeks. there were some machinery problems? Anyway I got it and the fit is fine. He sent an extra sheath as well, don't know wether it is included or not? The only problem was the the tip was rounded/dull. I got out the sharpmaker and somewhat fixed it> I can't say that I would definitely deal with him again although I would not deter anyone from doing so. All I would say is to be patient, not something a knife junkie wants to hear! Anyway, all's well that ends well.
Jeff
P.S. Frontline< I did recieve the same info in the package as you did.

Excellent pics frontline! Your wrapping is fine man looks just like the stock job.
Striped version is awesome. Haven't carried mine in a while. I'm thinking it might
go back to my EDC again cause I'm getting paranoid bout getting busted with
a folder. Read some thread about a kid getting busted in NYC with a totally legit
knife and scared me a bit.

Please look at the customs Declar number in my post to see if it's the same number as the one he sent you in your shipping information.

I just wanna see if they are the same number.

Has to bump this up guys. Are they still in business as I haven't heard any other people jumping in to get their HAKs any more.
I really want one but too scare to order and wait forever.

I just ordered a HAK yesterday from Fenix and within 3 hours had an email from them saying they shipped it along with the tracking number. Pretty impressed, lets see how USPS comes through now, particularly with Christmas being just over a week away.

(Got the S30v Midnight Straight, BTW. Damn expensive but I've been saving for this one a while)

I just recieved my S30v Midnight straight that i ordered about 2 weeks ago via Fenix Outfitters. I am based in the UK and am happy with service/product. The edge is not as good as i would like but its not the end of the world.

Peace, out.
