Hinderer Herd (Pets) Pics

OUR kitties

Riley is first photo
Gracie "B" is in the second photo

Flash, Fargo, and Spirit; Search and Rescue dogs. My favorite photo of 3 of ours. Flash and Spirit are retired now. Fargo now lives in Ohio where she still works USAR.

Wow! they are really really cool! Thanks for the commitment, of raising, owning and training such a treasured asset to us all!

What a great looking group!

Thanks for the compliments. My wife is the canine handler. She and Flash (left) responded with Miami-Dade Fire's USAR team to the Haiti eartquake in the rescue phase of the operation. Flash was retired after the mission. Spirit also responded but she is a Human Remains Detection (HRD) dog and was not used on the mission.

Hilda and Spirit went back to Haiti at the request of the State Department a month later and discovered the remains of 10 people who could be returned to their loved ones. She and Spirit cleared the remaining victims at the Hotel Montana where US college students and professors were missing.

Here is a link to a short article. The photos are of Spirit visiting the children's field hospital as a therapy dog, which is really ironic because she is so hyper she can hardly sit still.

<3 So nice.

Here are a couple of Dillon. He does not do search & rescue work. He is an AKC Master Hunter and went to the Master National Hunt Test last year. He did not get a pass, but it was his first time and he is going again this year.

He is very intense about his work.

Here is Mako in Colorado when he certified as a FEMA Disaster Dog (he is also an AKC Master Hunter). My wife took the photo and it is my favorite of him.

Awesome animals.

Thank yous all around to your family for the service of those in need.

Pete asked that I not show this Pic but..... He has no thumbs so, "Delete" is not an option.

They were sharing a "moment"

BTW: I taught Sam how to do a version of push-ups. I think it worked out.

OMG that's a cool fish!!!!! What does it eat?

Thanks! I feed it frozen silversides but it will eat pretty much any fish around its own length, which is about 8", that can fit in its mouth. I have it in my reef with taller bodied fish and a breeding pair of misbar clowns that stay in their bubble tip anemone.

Crappy vid I took of it eating with my phone a while ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqX6yJjf0Qk

From what I can tell........ Anything it wants! :D

Haha, pretty much. If it fits in its mouth then its dinner. I have even seen it grab on to a fish too large to swallow and spit it out a few seconds later.

That is too Cool.... an "over-achiever" fish.
Give him/her my regards - much respect for "anybody" that goes after and tries to eat that which is too large.

Sam's the right way up from where I'm looking!

Cool pic, one of my cats does that with all four legs.

Good acting skills with the silverside and convinced the angler its "pretend fishy bait" worked.

That is SO awesome!!!! My reef is only 28 Gallons so that Angler would pretty much be the sole inhabitant!

Great looking reef. I'd love to see some more pics...

I read a little bit about them after seeing it posted here. It appears they need about 20 gallons, so a few other dwellers may be able to share a tank...until one becomes food for the other, that is.
