Hmmmmm.... Clever Knife Sayings?

"Cutting his throat is only a momentary pleasure and is bound to get you talked about."
-Robert Heinlein

It is easier to make a large knife do small things well, than it is to make a small knife do large things well.

Aint that the truth... I can open a letter with a kukri or a machete, but I sure can't cut down a tree with a pen knife or a SAK.

"War, to the knife, against the enemies of humanity"

Dr John Creaghe

Hear is one I like .-"...and he that cleaveth wood shall be endangered thereby. If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength...."

As Harmonica is awaiting the final showdown in Once Upon A Time In The West:

"What's he waiting for out there? What's he doing?"

"He's whittlin' on a piece of wood. I've got a feeling when he stops whittlin'... Somethin's gonna happen."

I heard or read a quote a long time ago, but I can't remember it exactly. Is anyone else familiar with it?
"How many knifes should you carry? Six. One for you, one for your friend, one to throw, one in case you drop it, one in case you break it and a back up."
Is that how it goes? Or was it five? I can't remember where I heard it.

"To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee."

Herman Melville stole this line from Khan on Star Trek, IIRC. ; )large+wrath+of+khan+blu-ray2w.jpg
