Moose, your kids are rich in parentage, and that's all that will matter in the long run.
For the resta yous, all that talk of exercise in the chatroom last night got me offa my arse:
Did my 15mi training loop, which is about 6mi of hills in the first half. 60% of the downhill comes in the 1st mile after the mid-ride peak, followed by a rolling, meandering low-traffic residential road through the middle of the big local wildlife management area.
goal-1) finish the ride
goal-2) 1hr or less
result: 59 minutes! Hells to the yeah! (as the kids are apparently saying these days)
very pleased about that for the first ride in about 8 months. End of summer goal is 50 minutes or less, plus being able to do two consecutive loops in prep for a September race in the Berkshires.
(rescued, renovated Panasonic Sport 1000. Yes, my name is Daizee, and I ride a polka-dotted bike. Whatchoo wanna do aboutit?)

I too wish y'all luck. Moose, be proud that you are willing to take any necessary means to provide for your family. It's easy just to say "no" and go on with your life. It wasn't till I was much older that I realized the things my parents did for me to make sure I had what they didn't. In 36 years of life they have instilled in me the same values.

got this in the mail last week. My daughter and I threw it at a target for a couple of days. Worked great so I decided to mod some. I sharpened a few more surfaces and did a little polish!

I don't know much about hawks. It seem pretty tough so far. I can't quite get it to throw the way I want but I chalk that up to pilot error! Cheap enough that it's no great loss whatever you want to do with it, plus it looks pretty neat!

Well, just sold off my last vintage Colts. That takes care of one trip. Hopefully the knives will take care of the other. For the first time since I was 15yrs old, I don't own a sidearm. Feels weird. Oh well, sometimes this daddy thing can be tough sometimes.
