Handguns And Cowboys. I prefer 45 in the handgun though.

Lately I'm wanting a single action revolver,,, are the Rugers any good (they seem a lot more affordable then the Colt),,, is 45 Long Colt a good calibre or am I better of with a .357 or 44 Magnum ?

Any of the Hortonites shoot a SA revolver ?

Yes, I might start all the hassle again and begin a new quest to obtain a permit

I've definitely seen too many cowboy movies or sumptin'

I've shot a few SA's but only a Ruger Single Six in .22, It's a nice little shooter. I have a Colt Cowboy in 45LC, but would rather shoot 44 mag out of my Anaconda. The fit and finish on the Colts is far superior IMO opinion than the Rugers, but they both shoot

@Jeremy: I looked at those Uberti's,,, very nice, but the prize is ouch !

@Pauli: I don't reload, so the cost of those .500 rounds would probably do me in,,, and I don't know if I'm man enough to shoot it !

just got my new necker from Jeremy today, plus i see a little bit of the new Horton logo stamped on my blade. thought i would get the gang together and take a pic.
Benelli mr1, Colt LE6940 with an aimpoint comp ml2, ruger sr9c, sig sauer p228 military with a streamlight tlr-1, 3000+ lumen modded maglite and my 2 Horton Knives.

the benelli isnt bad, i am a gas impingement guy, thats what i am use to from the Corps. the piston system in the benelli is not bad, less cleaning, less parts. it will take some time for me to get a feel for it.
