S&W 686 .357 magnum 4 inch any good ? Have the opportunity to buy one cheap and I don't have a wheelgun yet, so.... I'm tempted... only the huge pile of red tape involved is making me hesitant,,,

BTW, he shot about 3500 rounds through it, is that a lot ? No real marks on it, looks new...
 
S&W makes pretty good revolvers. As long as they don't have that stupid ass lawyer lock on them,,,:rolleyes:
 
The 686 is a great gun. It's great because you can use inexpensive powder puff .38 target loads or full house 357s. One of my gun regrets is selling mine to pay bills. I called the guy recently who I sold it to and he wouldn't sell it back.
 
What do I ckeck for when buying a secondhand S&W 686 revolver ? I mean are there specific things which break easily on these or something ? tnx
