I was just informed today by my local gunsmith that H&K is (no longer) producing the HK45 ?!?

I'm cursed, I tell ya ! :grumpy:

Is anybody aware of this ? I can't believe that a company would stop producing a handgun after only 1 year or so,,, was something wrong with it ? (I have read only positive reviews on the HK45)

I guess the best alternative is the Glock in .45ACP (which model should I get) ? Or are there others ?

Dag nabbit, I was really set on getting the HK45,,, have been busy acquiring it since September 2009,,,

Wow Chibbi - that sucks :(

Glock 21 SF with Glock rail would be nice .45 ACP or good ole 1911..

Shit! I am sorry to hear that Chibbs. I really don’t get this damn gun laws and I’m sorry that you’re not getting the gun you liked. I bet you are pissed as hell mang but try to hold on.
Paulinski has a good solution or the G21C I like too. Good luck man, hope you get it this time and if you get your self a Glock you won't be disappointed.

All is not lost ! :)

After posting something similar on a Belgian weapons forum, people reacted by saying that the HK45 is still in production and they gave me a link to the official importer for H&K for Belgium,,, yep, the HK45 is still listed !

Phoned my local gunsmith today with my findings and he was very surprised,,, seemed he was dealing with another importer ?!?

Any way, the saga continues,,,

He did ask me to think about another handgun in .45ACP should things not work out and I told him I was interested in the Glock21 SF (are these available yet BTW ?) or the FNH-P45 (the latter he immediately reacted that that would also be difficult to get 'cause it's made for the US market,,, can't believe that a gun made in Belgium won't be available to me !?!)

Chibbi, in the US the 21 SFs are available, but I have no idea in Belgium.

Belgium seems like Illinois in the US. Anything that could cause more damage than an ice cream cone is banned.

Thanks,

The M14 is a Armscorp with VLTOR Mod stock and Cluster Rail topped off with a Leupold 3x9 tactical.

The blade is my Menace with my own home made micarta (in this case mycarta)
